Add Epsom Salt To Your Weekly Regimen

Epsom salt
One thing I learned from having a broken shower for more than two weeks was that: I must adapt and make the best out of the situation. It forced me into taking a bath, yes it did!

Upon looking under the sink, I found a bag of Epsom salt, and away I went, adding it to my bath. I've read so many articles on the health benefits of Epsom salt.

Let's look at why we should add Epsom salt to our weekly regimen, and why it is good for us.

Captivating Beauties Of Nature

Gorgeous Nature's Creation
Just when I walked around my yard and pouting that there were nothing else to take pictures of, or haven't taken pictures of; these true beauties presented themselves to me. This is a wild rose branch with beautiful and colorful leaves. Still very alive, and very thriving!

Thankful Thoughts

Yes, it is another year, another celebration, and another get together to give thanks to all the blessings. Even though my luck was very low these last few months, I do have many things to be grateful for such as I am relatively healthy, my children are fine, a house over my head, a car that runs, and of course warm heat for cold months.

Learning to accept, to be calmed, and carrying on with whatever I have to do is one of the greatest blessings this past year for me. From this, I have peace, and for that, I am thankful!

We will be gathering at my brother's house for an early Thanksgiving dinner, and all participants (the adults) will have to bring a dish to share. We are not having a traditional dinner such as turkey, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, etc. You know, the yummy trimming!

My questions are:

1) Tell one blessing that you've encountered this year!

2) What are you thankful for?

Twirly Swirly White Mums

Twirly Petals
These flowers are in the mums' family, are they not? They think they are! So what is special about them? Their twirly swirly petals that looked like walking spider legs were fun to see and pretty at the same time.

Fortune Cookies

I have hit a series of bad luck lately, but according to my fortune cookies I should be having something good happening. The day after I dropped my son off at the airport, I had a flat tire right on my driveway, and then the day after that, my shower broke! To fix this problem, it will cost me in the hundreds...

So where is my fortune and "something special"? I watched people getting excited with their fortune cookies, and I wonder about the little strip of paper with the saying on them. Where do they get the idea to say something like that?

There is no harm in false prophecy, is there? Unless you're very gullible, these strips of paper are just for pure entertaining. However, I can also see why people hold on to them, and that is the flickering hope in desperate situation, to cheer up, and or to have positive thoughts.

I am speaking for myself, obviously, as I held on to these fortune paper in hoping for something to change, and something good to come my way. That little hope does wonder to the soul and keeps me focused!

So here are my questions:

1) Do you believe in fortune teller or the thing you read in the fortune cookies?

2) Has any of these predictions ever come true?

Beautiful Lavender Daisy

Lavender Daisy
This beautiful lavender heart and white petals daisy were found at a grocery store, and I haven't seen it before. It came in a bouquet with different flowers, but since the heart has that tint of purple, of course, I was drawn to it immediately.

On Voting and Such

Silhouette flower buds
Today is election day, and by tonight we shall know who is our President. Unlike last time, I am very uncertain about who to vote for, but my wise brother advised me "vote for the lesser evil of two".

It made perfect sense to me, and I am ready to do my duty as a citizen.

However, I will rest first as I had to wake up at 3:30 AM to take my oldest son to the airport. He is going back to sea for the next six months. Yes, it is sad to say good bye, no matter how old the children are.

I will leave you now with two questions for this week:

1) Are you voting today, or did you vote earlier?

2) How do you register for early voting? I wish I have done this instead of standing in line..

Own A Piece Of Property On the Water

We all have dreams, and one of them  probably owns a house by the water somewhere. The sound of water rushing, fresh air on your skin, or opportunity to walk on the sandy beach can really relax our moods.

I have always wanted to live in a warmer climate, and Florida has crossed my mind many times for the retirement years later. For those of you that are ready to make the move, Fort Lauderdale in South Florida most luxurious water front property can be found here: www.susanrindley.com, where your dream to own a condominium by the water can come true.

The Unyielding Zinnias

Red Zinnia
Last weekend we traveled to Columbus, Ohio to visit my sister KoKo, who has just moved there in early fall, and on the way back we break at the Michigan welcome rest stop area. To my surprise, the beautiful zinnia flowers were still blooming profusely despite the unpleasant weather we were having.
