Are You Prepared For Disaster?
I caught a bit of the news last night and saw how many States are in emergency with the rising water and heavy snow, which will last for another couple of days. I should really get my family stocked with foods, blankets, water, and other important necessities.
Watching so many people out of homes, and have to be evacuated I can't help but feeling sad and worried about what might happen if we are left with no power! It is very cold here, in my neck of woods, and without heat we will not last too long. My heart and prayer go out to those that have to live through this unimaginable hardship.
Thus, the questions are for this week:
1) Are you prepared for emergency disaster?
2) What will be included your stock away emergency packages?

Just So
| Dried lavender asters |
Fall is pretty! The earth bursts out with amazing shade of rainbow colors. One can inversely feel the joy or utterly depressed knowing what is coming next. That burst of energy from the earth is exciting and welcoming for a short time. Then, it goes quiet and tiring.
I am at that stage now, still early in the season, but already tiring with this cold wet weather. I want to be like the squirrels scurrying to collect nuts for the winter, and then hibernate for the next six months. Seriously, I am not a winter person, so you will hear more moan in the future.
1) Do you like the weather where you're living?
2) If you have a choice, where would you want to live just for pure temperature?

The Arborist's Website
We are under a very unpleasant weather around here these past two weeks, where strong wind knocked down branches and trees swaying in all directions. Watching those tree climbers trying to clear those broken branches away from electrical wires was quite interesting and fascinating. It is a dangerous job if you don't have the right arborist supplies, which all professional tree climbers know they are a must! They have to learn about knot tying, caring for the rope, to the health of the tree to make sure everything will work out in supporting their weight.
If you are an avid tree climber or a thrill seeker, you need to check out the link in this post! You will find supplies for arborist, seminars, events, and a learning center on their site such as tree rigging or tree climbing knots, including tree health care.
Obviously, this is not a trade or a hobby for everyone, but if you're going to be an arborist; do it the right way!

Deal Dash Auction Site
The internet is full of new things that we can not possibly know or keep up with all the time. New to me is DealDash, an auction site where you can bid on the items that you want for a fraction of the price. You can register for a free account at Deal Dash, but to take part in the auction, you must purchase bids. The regular cost for a bid is 60 cents, but if you visit the site often enough, you can catch the bid sales at about 15 cents per bid, which are sold in the packs at 60, 100, and more.
Here are three reasons why you should join DealDash risk free:

An Ideal Life Style
I have always liked the idea of living in a tight-knit community, where there are plenty of things to do for the entire family and places for personal time. If you ever had the experience of living in a group setting, similar to camping style, you know what I mean. Port St Lucie golf communities is one of those places that I would not mind living at all.You are always around people and things to do should you like to participate, or you could choose to have your personal time in the gym, or taking a dive in the pool.

Autumn Leaves
| Autumn Leaves |
If you have time, check out these articles: IBC--The Most Aggressive Killer of Breast Cancer, and Understand Life After Cancer Free. I am certain that you will find them useful to know.
My questions are:
1) Do you know someone who is currently battling cancer?
2) How do you support those that are undergo treatment, or having cancer?

Caterpillar Or Bee?
For this week Thursday Two Questions, I will make it short, very short indeed, as I am running out of time. I am rushing. I am hurrying. I am pushing through the horrid pain of my shoulders.
I saw this caterpillar on my miniature black eyed Susan, and I took a few shots as the hair on my arm stood straight up. Anything that crawls gives me a chilling feeling. I can follow small bee, big bee, huge bee, hairy bee and I am not worry. But caterpillar, worm, leeches, snakes would send me into a frenzy!
Bee On Black Eyed Susan
1) Would you rather touch the caterpillar or the tiny bee?
2) Do you have a story that related to the fear of certain critters?
Here is my story: once upon a time, I was in bed sleeping soundly like a princess when "the man" woke me up after his midnight walk with his friend. He told me he had a present for me in the palm of his hand, and asked me to come closer. I did like a stupid brainless head and was told to shut my eyes.
When "the man" asked me to open my eyes and looked, I screamed on top of my lung, at midnight, and cried like a hungry baby. About five inches away from my face was the largest earth worm that I've ever seen. It was gross. It was disgusting and it was unexpected as well as uncalled for. Needless to say, my fear begins since..Whoops, it wasn't that short as I thought :-)

Wild Lavender Asters
By now I bet you have seen aster flowers on many blogs already. I can never have enough of them even years after years. We have some wild white asters scattered all over the yard, but this year, I saw this lavender one in my neighbor's yard.

Thursday Ranting
What I am talking about? First of all, the blogger new interface was force on us. Secondly, the Firefox browser updated to a new version. Finally, Shareaholic, the social bookmarking site, button changed to another server, and no longer offered a shorter URL.
I am whining, because I have no time to get used to all of these changes. I love Firefox browser but it has caused so many other little problems, and I ended up uninstalling it and got an older version with Bing search engine, version 12, for now!
Thus, my two questions for this week are:
1) What is your favorite browser, or do you like the new version of Firefox?
2) Do you use Shareaholic, or Addthis, or Sharethis bookmarking site?

Get Your Training Online
I have no desire to learn about this business or anything that relates to it. It is not in me! However, when the economy hits, many places offer lessons about mortgage, its advantages and disadvantages to the community for free. This was when it aroused my interest, and I realize that the banking business is an area where it will never be obsolete.
Now with that in mind, if you want to have a career in becoming a loan officer, a tax preparer, or insurance broker, check out this website TrainingPro.com, where you can register for a class online to get your training, and be qualified for that job.
