On our second visit to Cabo San Lucas, we went straight to the Dolphins' house to see the show. They didn't perform a "real show" but mostly listened to their trainer in co-operating with the paid patrons.

Refill to Save Money and the Earth

Hand Soap

One of the necessary things we use in our house is the hand soap. I have it in the bathrooms, the kitchen, and in the mud room by the entrance.

I used to buy individual bottles to replace them when we ran out, but then it hit me that it was more expensive to do so than to buy a big refill container. I also thought about the recycling issues.

By using one big container to refill the small bottles, I could stretch out my money and do my bit to be earth-friendly.

Whatever I could replace with the refill options, I would. It feels good that I don't waste much anymore.

My questions are:

1) Do you use the refill hand soap, or cleaner bottles option, or you simply just buy new ones to replace when they run out?

2) Do you prefer brand name or store name products?

While On the boat back to our ship, I saw the other Carnival Cruise Ship, the Splendor! It just worked out that I took pictures of their ship, and not ours, the Spirit! Since they both were the same, it gave you a feel of how big these ships were.

With the summer heat in the hundreds these last three weeks, we can barely go upstairs since it was like a hot oven up there.

However, I have chores to do, and upon cleaning early one morning, I realize how much I like my modern bathroom vanities. It has a sleek and clean look. Moreover, it also makes my small bathroom looks bigger.

Melbourne Was So Close

When we were interviewed for settlement, one of the choices my father had to face was to pick a country to call home. Australia was number one on his list as they were willing to take all 21 of us. That meant our family would not be divided, and stayed together was my dad's top priority.

We were told to wait while the agency looking for flights to melbourne from Thailand.  We had many family meetings, praying, and discussions why Melbourne would be a perfect fit for us as the weather was close to what we used to.

Seal On The Rock

 On our boat ride back to Cabo San Lucas from Lover's Island, our heads were turned and our voices were the "ooh aah" to see this large seal lying on top of the rock. It was amazing to see and to wonder how long it took for this seal to achieve the king of the world status.

Storage Containers For All Your Need

At the end of June my sister, KoKo, announced to the family that she is moving to Ohio as her husband has accepted a job offering that made it impossible to turn down. Evidently, we are all happy for her, and sad at the same time as our family here in Michigan is getting smaller in numbers.

With the transition having to take place at the end of August, she has been looking at different Storage Containers for different varieties of things in the house.  Once starting to pack, things come out from every corners that has accumulated over the years that we don't notice on a regular basis.

Go, Explore Egypt!

It seems to me that summer is the peak time for traveling, and it is easy to understand why. The kids are out of school, the weather is beautiful for the most part, and many areas have special events to entertain tourists.

If financially allowed, I would love to have an egypt holidays because I am fascinated by its historic sites, the many different attractions of ancient ruins, monuments, statues, architectural buildings, and landmarks such as the famous pyramid.

Necessities For a Happy Home

After having two consecutive weeks of heat wave, I wish my house has central air conditioning for the first time. Right now, we only have two window air units which cooled off a section of our living area. The rest of the house is unbearable to function in.

Years ago, we purchased an amana ptac room air unit, and it has saved us many hot summers. We camped where the air conditioning was, which meant sleeping on the ground or blow up bed, or the couch. Our upstairs bedrooms are not in service during the summer.

If you can't afford to install a central air conditioning or heating for the house, I would recommend you to check out the ptac units because they are very affordable, and will give you relief in hot weather or warmness in cold months. You might also want to check out other accessories, such as the amana control board or remote control for your convenient.

The majority of people from our Carnival Spirit Cruise Ship came to Lover's Island. We all had to take a taxi-boat to get here from the shore, and stayed on this beautiful sandy beach. Rocks came straight up from the ocean, and housed many different sea critters and birds.

Summer Wellness With Nopalea

If you take as many vitamins and supplements as I do, would you be willing to trade them in for this one Nopalea wellness drink bottle? My current must have everyday vitamins are: turmeric, glucosamine chondroitin, iron, fish oil, and D3 to help with my pain from arthritis.

Without these supplements, I am as good as a rag, and I often forget to take my supplements on days with endless things to do. I am sure we all forget to take care of ourselves from time to time.

After a short boat ride, we arrived at the Welcome Center where we also had to check in with our passports, and then we were free to roam the streets of Cabo San Lucas.
