Bath Or Shower?
I used to take baths when the children were younger, since that was my time to escape and relaxed. Oh yes, and it was before we have computer and internet. Once we caught on with technology, a brand new wide world opens up, and I went back to school for web design online.
Between caring for the children, running errands, driving the kids around, doing my homework, and taking care of a home, bath time slowly became obsolete as I crunched for free time to get things done.
I completely forgot how nice it is to take a bath, and just relaxing with warm water covered me until last Sunday. After spending 5 hours at a graduation party, I decided to let "Calgon, take me away" time. It was great! I tell you, it was heavenly not rushing, not lift a finger, and not trying to finish my chores.
Before I lost your attention, here is my Wandering Thought for this week:
1) Do you prefer bath or shower?
2) Shower uses more water, or bath uses more water? I have heard that shower uses more water, but others argue that bath uses more!

Good for you for studying web design ! Lots of things to learn these days and web design is one of them. I just have to find time !
ReplyDeleteI like shower - fast and quick and I think you use less water with shower.

Lovely flowers and a beautiful capture! Learning new things is always exciting and it keeps the brain functioning, too!! I would love to take a course in web design if I can find one locally. Hope your week is going well!

I prefer a bath for the reasons you mentioned, but there is that time thing. Pretty pansies.
ReplyDeleteI don't know which one uses more. I just know that, like you, I haven't used a bath in years :(
ReplyDeleteHow much water must depend on how long you spend in the shower I suppose. I like an unhurried bath while reading a book.
ReplyDeleteI'm a shower person, but every once in a while I like a nice long bubble bath...
ReplyDeleteI take showers, but would enjoy a bath...I think baths take more water, but I could be wrong!
ReplyDeleteHubby fusses if I bathe saying it is not as healthy, but I love to soak once in awhile. How can you soak in Epsom salt in a shower? :-) I would imagine that the use of water would depend on the length of time the water runs.
ReplyDeletei grew up without bath not even shower, we use pail and dipper, haha! anyway, i pefer shower, it's like drenched in strong rain drops :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty pansies. I have never seen them in the wild. I am more of a shower person. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm a shower girl, but as for water, I think it all depends on how you shower -- because you need a lot of water for a tub! At least I do!
ReplyDeleteA shower always seems so much easier, so that's what I do. I just recently watched a TV show where they claimed that showers take less water.
ReplyDeleteI like showers, it is fast, and fast is what I am.
ReplyDeleteBoth seems to be the same, as they say, we don't realize how much water a sprout puts out in a minute until we have a bucket under to measure.
I've never had a bath.....
ReplyDeleteI've only took showers.
I've promised myself to get a bath and even bought the calgon, but gosh after the kids go to bed, I just want to veg with my computer...like now :)
2. Shower uses more water. It just keeps running, unless you turn it off or use a water saver showerhead that actually works.
But that is very interesting question. Now I want research :)
Happy weekend!
I love baths and try to take one a week. I can't take more because time is so scarce these days.
ReplyDeleteI think a shower can use more water if you take a long one. I did some research years ago for a spending book I self-published. A shower only takes less water than a bath if you have a little one. If you're one of those people (me) who take long showers, then you're using a lot. Besides, the electricity you use for a long shower adds up to more cost than just running a bath.
Icy, baths are nice to just relax and soak in the time. I am normally in a rush so showers are better because they are easier although they do use much more water.
ReplyDeleteSuch nice photo....love the pretty pansies...
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Karin
