Dreaming Of a Vacation In Thailand

Thailand
This is the time of year when I want to escape to a warmer climate. April's weather has not been so kind. In fact, it was even colder than March, and I caught spring fever; thus, I begin to search for flights to thailand.

Why, you might ask! Thailand is one of the countries that I fancy to visit again. I remembered how beautiful it was way back in 1975 when we stayed there for a few months. The magnificent temples and beautiful beaches remained a pleasant memory in my heart.

Even though the situation was not desirable, it still has such an impressive impact on me as everywhere I saw was just beautiful. Flowers lined the streets, and temples shined in gold!

For those months I also picked up on learning a new language, and was able to communicate with Thai people for basic needs.

This is a land that I would love for my children to see and experience. I think I got all caught up in a desire to travel as the school is about to end, and summer vacation is the "talk of the town" in my circle at the moment.

One can dream and it is good for the soul, isn't it? Now, this is where my Wandering Thought came in to play:

1) How many of you are planning for a summer vacation outside the US?

2) Where would you want to go if you have a choice?

  1. "Flowers lined the streets, and temples shined in gold!"-- yes, Thailand is beautiful, I too have plants of visiting that country again. I was too young then when I first visited it, and did not care about freezing memories.

  3. Thailand sounds wonderful. I have never been and doubt I will ever make it to that part of the world. Really wishing I could visit Prague right now. In my opinion it's so much more romantic than Paris and much cheaper too.

  4. I have had one vacation in my life and it was a church camp in upstate NY with my children and the minister's family. I was very grateful for that opportunity and would love to see a warmer climate and hope you get to too.

  5. Thailand is a beautiful place to visit. I was there for my honeymoon back then in 2001. We haven't been there with the kids yet as I don't think the food will agree with them at the moment.

  7. You have a nice post going for 'Thursday Two Questions.'
It matches mine in a way.

    1) How many of you are planning for a summer vacation outside the US?
Probably we will visit outside. Generally we do that two or three times a year. Our summers are hot so we like to go to a cooler place.

    2) Where would you want to go if you have a choice?
London is always on my choice as two of our grandkids live their with our daughter and SIL.
We also like to cruise (that's what my TTQs is about this time, a cruise to the Canary Islands) as it works good for older folk who just want to relax.

  8. I am dreaming of the outside vacation...out of the country will have to be next year or something like that. As it is, I feel we don't have enough time to enjoy our house.

If everything is not an issue, money, time etc. I would like to visit VietNam again.

  9. I'm not planning on leaving this country any time soon, but I'd like to go to either Ireland or Japan. Ireland because it is the home of my ancestors, and Japan just because I'd like to see it.
