On Changing
There are changes all the way around, from FaceBook to Blogger. I am struggled trying to go along with these changes. The Time Line thingy on FaceBook looks cluttering, and Blogger new interface format is like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
Then, yes, then there are friends/bloggers that begin to take blogging break. What gives? Time is the issue! We are all so busy these days to go through coping with changes, or trying to get familiar with new demands.
I resist all of these changes until there were no choices left. I believe we should have options to choose which format is more comfortable for us to work with without being forced into accepting. After all, are we not in a free country with constitutional rights?
I know we have to keep up with fast moving forward technology, but it is too much all the time. We are pushed into being online much longer, and staring at the computer screen more in order to catch up with understanding these changes. These are the causes for the epidemic diabetes and overweight! They keep us tied to the computers!!
1) Would you vote for the option to keep the old format on both Facebook and Blogger, in order to free up some time online?
2) What are the benefits for Blogger and Facebook regarding these changes? Does anyone know?

Change for better is good.
ReplyDeleteBut too much much and to frequent changes is no good to an old man.
i do not really spend a lot of time in Facebook, so am not bothered with the changes.
ReplyDeleteon the other hand, I actually am liking the new blogger interphase.
however, i would vote for users to have option and not force to use one. we all work differently, like i love using timeline, but i know others don't. it's a matter of preference, and it does not look good if we do not have a choice.
one of the reasons why i like timeline is being able to see the dates and go back to specific dates.
what i like in the new blogger is being able to see my stats right away when i open my blog, and i do not have to keep on going to google analytics to check my site, and also, i see right away my most visited posts and the most search key words.
Icy, I'm with you. I don't really like all these changes and I think they are designed to have us all sharing more of our information than we already do.
ReplyDeleteAs for the FB timeline, I don't hate it but I don't like it either. I don't understand why they changed it. It's not any easier to maneuver and half the time my posts disappear and I still don't know why.
As for blogger, I don't like the new interface at all. I like the old interface much better. I guess though it doesn't matter what we all think, we just have to go with it.
yes, I would vote to keep the old Blogger interface and the old FB too, if that was the choice.
ReplyDeleteBenefits? I don't see any but I don't think there is much we can do.
ReplyDeleteI don't like change much. But I guess these are changing times.
ReplyDeleteI guess we just have to keep pace with change as best we can! It's not easy!
ReplyDeleteMy philosophy is if it is not broke don't fix it!! They keep doing that and I wish they would just STOP! Who has the time to continually acclimate themselves?
ReplyDeleteThese are great questions, Icy! I sure would vote for the option to keep the old formats. I'm not a fan of FB's timeline.
ReplyDeleteJa uważam, że powinna być możliwość wyboru. Stracimy dużo czasu na wprowadzaniu zmian, zamiast dalej bawić się w miłe blogowanie. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteI think that should be a choice. Lose a lot of time making changes, rather than continue to play in a nice blogging. Yours.
My sentiments exactly!!!! Change is the only constant in life, so I guess we must adapt. Good luck to us all!!!! Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have either Blogger or Facebook. Can you believe it?!
ReplyDeleteI do not like the timeline on facebook...it makes the profile look great with the huge photos but it looks somewhat confusing...so I hope the profiles wont automatically be converted to timeline ...and I no longer spend as much time as I used to on FB hehe, spending more of my free online time on blogger now...just shifted to the new blogger look out of curiosity after reading your post and I think I need sometime to adjust...wish me luck hehe...happy weekend sweet Icy! :-)
