The Google + Profile Dilemma
Ok, I have just made my rounds around the blogger sphere, and quite frustrated with the G+ profiles. It is such a pain to click on it, and if you are not in their circles, you can't find their post or blog to return comments.
Moreover, if you are in the same circle, you have to scroll down a long list for a post to click on, which is another step, another minute to wait, another minutes less to visit with a total of two windows open for one blogger.
I hate all of these changes! (Oops..did I say it out loud?) It is just too complicated and unnecessary! Just lead me to your profile or your blog so I can spend some time looking around, and not a trip around the world before I can visit you, please!
Yes, I have joined the G+ thingy, but I still keep my Blogger profile! I just don't see the need to follow everyone's activities. I already have that on Twitter and Facebook accounts. Who has time for all of these?
This is where my Wandering Thought came in to play:
1) How many of you actually check into G+ to see what is going on in your circle?
2) How many switch profile to G+, or are you annoyed as much as I do with G+ profile?
It used to be easier to have fun blogging, and now it is such a big complicated mess!

I don't use G+ (unless they will force me soon!)
ReplyDeleteIcy, I actually signed onto it a couple of months ago to see what it was like. I checked it out for about an hour or so and was so confused I was literally getting a migraine. It's just too much and I don't have time for these things anymore so I deleted it and happy. The migraine is gone :)
ReplyDeleteIcy, you can't possibly be more confused than I am, and I had no time before so certainly do not have spare time now. lol
ReplyDeleteI joined because I thought I needed to but still don't understand it.
Hahaha. Blogging isn't all about fun for me, not since day one. It was a stress reliever, something complicated with solutions, while I life back then had no solution. You know what I mean now- about no solutions.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I agree with you that G+ is unnecessary, and when they took the GFC away for nonbloggers, it started the mess of having to start another process of adding people for the same company= Google.
I have it, but kind of regretted it. I don't like using it.
same here Icy, I get confused when the link given to me is the google plus profile and not the blogger profile.
ReplyDeleteI have a G+ account but I don't use it yet. I do think that Google will eventually make all of us on Blogger use them.
ReplyDeleteI'm on google + but I sparingly use it as I find it so user "unfriendly". I normally just put up my current post there for all who are reading on it.
ReplyDeleteIcy dear, I just logged in on blogger and saw the note above that "the old blogger interface will be removed in the coming month"...oh dear, I think we got no choice but start getting used to the upgrade...do not worry you will not be alone in having headaches because of it :-)just thinking about it is giving me one now...and on google+ oh well I have no idea how that works..been curious the past days but have no time to find out and with this post of yours I have no plan of feeding my curiosity anymore...blessed Thursday!mmmmwahhh!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to friend with G+.
ReplyDeletebeautiful photograph~
ReplyDeletei also do not have the extra time to click through google +
i really don't get why to use it
