Working Under Pressure
During a conversation with other parents on JoJo's soccer team, the majority of these people admitted that their lives are so busy with many different activities from their kids, but they would also feel lost without having these activities to do.
As contradict as this maybe, children are the force that drive us forward, and push us into making commitments. Beside the chores at home, we are now having extra errands to run, places to be, and responsibility to fulfill.
The busier I am though, the more productive I become! Oddly enough, I seem to get things done under pressure and deadlines! Yes, I'm all stressed out and zits popped up, but somehow I accomplished more than when I have a short list. My brain seemed to organize what needed to be done, where I needed to be at what time, and I visualize that list to follow.
Different people have different ways of dealing with life's demands.

I'm going to really miss taking my son to football, now that he is grown up!
ReplyDelete1) Proud to say, I am good at handling tasks when under pressure. I think faster and move faster under pressure.
ReplyDelete2) I plan ahead and always make it a point to beat deadlines. In accounting, everything has a deadline. I guess am so used to it.
I am like you I find my force is stronger when driven by stress and chaos lol!!! I always load it on too cause I can't say no... soon i'll definitely need to upgrade my organizational system to keep on track with everything. How you do you manage?
ReplyDeletegood question Icy! I hate pressure and deadlines, but am able to respond to them quite well. Mind you, I am treated for high blood pressure being a type 'a' personality!
ReplyDeleteI think I work better if I have a deadline. If not I tend to procrastinate.
ReplyDeleteI guess I work better under pressure. That pressure gives me the motivation to do what I need to do.
ReplyDeleteIcy, I have to agree with you. I work better under pressure, but do not necessarily like the feeling of having so much to do within a short time. Often times it means sacrificing something I may have really wanted to do to do what I have to do. It gives me the feeling of putting self on the back burner.
ReplyDeleteI think I am not so into pressure anymore. I didn't have a choice before and I run myself ragged. Now, I might have a lot going on, but I tackle the important projects one at a time, I still do it all, but at least now I am not breathles
ReplyDeletei am okay with working under pressure, somehow that is my motivator, otherwise i would relax :( as I am not so good with self discipline if I have no deadlines nor pressure to deal with :)
ReplyDeleteI always work better under pressure. I like the excitement of fast moving projects and commitments.
ReplyDeleteDeadlines I am not so good at, I tend to put things off until the last minute.
I work best under pressure :-) and I love beating deadlines....
ReplyDeleteP.S. I brought my kiddos to work today...because I am sure they are safer with me...when my mind is at peace I can share peace...wow, time flies..it is Thursday again...blessed Thursday sweet Icy!
When push comes to shovel, yes I can get the job done. That being said, I'd rather NOT have to be put under that kind of stress. I like keeping busy, but I don't want the aggrevating pressure associated with deadlines.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I'm faced with a deadline, I plan out my to-dos daily so to not miss out on a thing breaking every job across several days to keep stress away. Sometimes deadlines kinda creep up on me and then it's hair pulling time. I don't have much of that I want to get rid of, either.
I tend to get bored easily so I work much better under pressure and deadlines.
ReplyDeleteI go hiking in response to pressure.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I'll be "dead" meeting "deadline".
I've always done very well under pressure...I think it isn't really good to have too much...one needs to know how to find time to fit in a little leisure and fun, as well, but a healthy dose of both is what is best for me.
