Thursday Two Questions #51-New Blogger Interface

I am late, running late in posting for this week! Na, it's actually not due until tomorrow because it's Thursday Two Questions, not Wednesday Two Questions.  Anyway, I am trying out the new blogger interface with this post, and so far I like it, but I have to get used to where everything is, without making a mistake.

The Many Different Shades of Pink Zinnia

I'm going to continue the many different shades of pink rose with this post since I have many different tones and shapes of pink zinnia flowers! Most of the petals were not round or open as we normally see. They came as a jolly surprise to me.

This baby pink color zinnia was my favorite because of its shape. It looked like sun burst with its petal. I don't know what happened, but I only had one pink zinnia with full round petals in the bottom left corner in the photo below.

All of these photos were taken with my cell phone camera as an experiment! I'm still learning about it as I go, but the battery lasted only for 3 to 4 hours though! I think so far it is not a bad backup device.

Back to School With Straight Talk

I feel a sense of freedom, and much lighter with this decision. You do not have to be on a contract to be cool or hip. Straight Talk gives you the same service at a more affordable price. The money we save will pay for at least a textbook or so.

We all often hear that life is so busy, so much to do, and little time to spare, right? Then why in the heck that there are a constant requests for me to play games on Facebook? Don't you think I would rather spend time outside taking pictures, or just be outside since our summer is winding down, and we will soon be covered with snow?

Allium After the Rain

The green dots you see have become seeds now, and I collected them to plant new ones for next year bloom. Hopefully more will grow since I know the flower gets along quite well with the soil in this area.

I have always marvel at how this allium flower formed in such a perfect circle. The bloom lasted for a time, and I enjoyed seeing it.

The Many Different Shades Of Pink Rose

This rose came in many different shades of pink color. Some are light pink, deep pink, medium pink, and some have a lavender tone in them. They were from a huge bouquet that my oldest son brought home for me from a wedding on his cruise ship.

The bride must have loved pink rose since the bouquet was just full of them. My house smelled so good for a few days while the flowers were still fresh.

Heart of a Blue Iris

Well, my irises had come and gone, but I still have these photos to show you! This was the heart of my blue iris after the rain. I was always fascinated with the "brush-like" looking part of this flower, so it became my subject.

Many flowers either bloomed really early or really late this year, and I have missed most of them. We had so much rain in May and June, and then went under a heat wave in July. Whatever the weather brought, I still found quite a few things to appreciate. How about you?

Speedwell First Love

As you know, I'm not lucky with gardening, and it's a hit or miss with me. These speedwell first love flowers worked out for some reasons beyond my understanding. And yes, I'm very happy seeing them bloomed!

Once planted, speedwell is quite easy to care for, and doesn't require much attention. It like partial sun/shade areas, and has continuous bloom from early to late summer. The vertical growth makes it quite a challenge to take pictures though, but is very glorious looking flowers.

I have the purple ones growing in the front garden, and the pink ones grow in the back. The pictures above were taken at the green house, where I bought my plants.

This is the fish pond at Belle Isle, except I took pictures of the other side. I was looking to understand how those beautiful flowers live in the water when this white koi jumped up for air! Or maybe it just wanted to scare the zippy out of me!

I finally saw a huge pot containing these flowers under water, and the only thing I still can't figure out if it had any dirt in it or not!

Blooming Pink Zinnia

My pink zinnia flowers finally bloom during the first week of August. Amanda at Self Sagacity sent me some seeds of her double-decker zinnias, but I haven't seen them bloom just yet. I love the way her double-decker flowers looked. Quite unique and interesting!

With the strange weather we have this year, every thing seemed to react differently. I planted the zinnia seeds in one big pot, and they actually took off in July while the heat was very intense. They needed extra helping of water in order to grow this year, twice a day for straight two weeks.

Metro Detroit Best T-Mobile Shop

I have been with T-Mobile for almost over 10 years, and I always have good things to say about them, especially with their customer service department. Very few times have I ever been disappointed! However, I have never purchased anything directly from them or from their authorized agents. I either ordered my phones through Amazon, Best Buy, or other online stores.

My two older children were in need of phones replacement, so we went to the nearest store to find out our options. Along the process, we got into a huge tangled mess, confused, and ended up canceling all our lines. Panic set in, I can tell you sheer panic, since we don't even have a home phone for communication.

White Wild Flower and Water Drops

These wild white flowers grew between the gravel part of my backyard, and this was the first year that I found them. They were so tiny that without zooming in, I couldn't see them.

They were gorgeous, especially the heart of the flower! I'm so thankful for my camera with its super-power of 7MP. Now, I should get a better one soon!
