Thursday Two Questions #42-The Good and The Bad of Sharing

Certain people I know sharing the same email address, and later get into argument if the subject is sensitive, or on family matters. For those couples who chose this route, you have my admiration if you are still getting along without resentments; but for those couples who are bickering at everything the spouse got in the email, I feel for you!

I believe in having privacy for each person, and it is a matter of trust, which we could argue at both ends of the spectrum. On one side, you should trust your partner enough to give him/her the needed space to be an individual; but on the other end of the argument, you have to trust each other totally to just have one email address.

Sharing is fine and dandy, but when sharing became a nightmare, it is best to establish boundary! Thus, my two questions for this week are below:

1) Why did you decide to have just one email account for both of you when it is free and easy to have two? If you don’t share the same email, what is your thought on this subject?

2) Privacy matters! Does this have to do with trust in a relationship or is it a control overhead?

My Waterdrops Collection

The man who perceives life only with his eye, his ear, his hand, and his tongue, is but little higher than the ox or an intelligent dog; but he who has imagination sees things around and above him, as the angels see them.

Little Purple Pansies

Tiny wild purple pansy
This is not your normal pansy, but rather wild and tiny pansy that I found at the cemetery while planted some flowers at my dad's grave.

Little purple pansy
They were very small, and very delicate among the tall grass. They grew randomly and the stem looked too thin to support the flower, but they were made perfectly that way.

Mostly purple pansy
I have to say that they were pansies because they smelt like pansies, which are not good I'm afraid but I like them, and have never seen one so tiny before.

Booking a Date With My Daughter

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Monte Carlo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have recently noticed a commercial on Monte Carlo the movie on TV, and it looks like a fun one to see for me and my daughter. We both love Selena Gomez through her television series, and chick-flick movies, especially those with funny humor. Personally, I think Selena Gomez is a beautiful young lady, and has a wonderful singing voice.

If you haven't heard of Monte Carlo before, click on this link below to view the trailer! I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do. It is a great way to relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a brief time.

The movie will hit major theaters on July 1st, 2011, but you can purchase your tickets through Fandango ahead of time on June 29, and avoid waiting in line at the box office. By buying your tickets first, you will have the advantage of choosing the best seats in the theater.

It has been a while for my daughter and I since we last went to see a movie, so this will be a great opportunity for us to get together, sharing a few laughs, and re-connect. She is a college student living away from home; thus, we have to make a date just to see each other and catch up on our life.

Thursday Two Questions #41-Create a Link Dilemma

Did you ever notice "Create a Link" under each post on your blog? Do you know what they are for? In my simple mind, I thought it was meant to use for related posts, but in my horror, these were what I found today.

I started to remove some of the links, but then decided to take some screenshots, so I can have the evidences. I couldn't believe my eyes the list of links that this person has sat there and created. Moreover, she even took some of my posts from Reach Beyond Limits and linked them in between.

If you have been following me a long time, and are good friends, you know I don't use links that often in my post, left alone unrelated posts! She must have spent a great deal of time spamming post after post on my site.

I have only look over two pages in my blog, and God knows how many more posts I will have to go through. The way I understood, these links drag down my page rank, and my blog loading time. So if you have worked hard for your site, you can now tick Backlinks, Do not allow.

1) What would you do if you see at the end of your post the list of links above?
(In the second image, my post was Quick And Easy Stir Fried Noodles)

2) Would you report this spam to Google?
(In the first image, my post on Day Break Gazania was only a few hours old online)

Fill Up Your Medicine Cabinet Without Leaving Home

The other day, I looked into my medicine cabinet, and realized that I have so many over the counter drugs for each person in the house. We have three different kinds for just pain reliever medicine, because each one of them works differently on individual.

Every six months, I go through my medicine cabinet to check for expired dates on what we have, and replace them. Depending on my mood and schedule, I either physically go to the store or order online. You can also buy lipitor and buy actonel without leaving the comfort of your home.

I love today technology, especially the internet, since it makes life easier for me. If you need to fill up your medicine cabinet, check out the links in this post. Order your supplies, and go on to other chores!

Day Break Gazania

Ladies and gentlemen, mostly ladies anyway, I finally found some what I thought was African Daisy flowers to grow this year. I picked up some mixed colors, and pink ones. This orange flower seemed to be the star of the pot so far.

They are not really African daisy, since the tag vividly called them as Day Break Gazania. However, when I did a search on Google for African daisy, their images were shown too.

The Gazania flowers are annual, comes in a variety of colors, and they love full sun. The flowers open up during the day, and closed in the morning. They have continuous blooms, which I like!

Thursday Two Questions #40-Summer Programs

Today is the last day of school for JoJo, and we are officially on summer vacation. It means the kids get to sleep in late, eat breakfast late, and go to bed late. The whole routine will be slightly different, and the morning will be less stressful.

As soon as school is out, I usually take JoJo and Roco to the library to sign them up for the summer reading program. The prizes that they will receive, are small tokens of local businesses contributions, such as a coupon for sundae, a small fries, or a pack of two pencils and erasers.

However, I don't do it for prizes, but I do it to keep their mind fresh. Working in the school system as a volunteer and as a substitute for many years, I have witnessed how much the children forget after summer vacation. Thus, my questions for this week:

1) If you have small children, are they signed up for any program? If you don't have children, are you involved with your library in a reading program?

2) Have you checked out the many free programs and activities at your local library? We have science show, puppet show, make and take craft project, and petting zoo, etc...

Connect

Let just kiss and be connected
You and I underneath one sky
As your soul reflected in mine
Like raindrop at moment that lasts!

Kiss me now and hold me so tight
Just for once, allow me to rest
and nestling in your heart all night
Then just part when the bubble bursts!

Like raindrop, memories I kept
Perfectly tuck them deep inside
I saw you as you've seen me
We reflect in each other's thoughts!

Lavender Columbine Flowers

What do you think of this gorgeous columbine flower? Some grow facing up, some grow facing down, and some grow facing sideway.

This lavender color is soft and pleasant, competing among showing pink, red, and deep purple. However, I single it out and make it my star!

These lavender columbine flowers had a touch of white color on the petals of some. I love flowers with two colors tone. Send flowers by post that are as beautiful as the pictures above. Flowers can be sent from and to any part of the world.

Now let's enjoy the weekend..

New Season for HGTV Design Star

HGTV is one of my favorite channels to watch since I can walk away with fresh ideas to improve my dwelling. Trading Space has me hooked, and Genevieve is the designer of my choice if she ever wants to re-decorate my home.

Along the way, HGTV changes with different new shows. They are about to launch another new season called HGTV Design Star with an impressive judging panel, including Genevieve Gorder, Candice Olson and Vern Yip.

There are 12 finalists in this sixth season, competing for a chance to have their own show on one of the biggest networks on television. The show will begin on Monday July 11 at 9:00 PM ET/PT. I like watching competition shows since each participant brings on different perspective and personal spin.

If you like interior designing or learning to be a designer, this is the show for you to get ideas and be inspired by these creative contestants. David Bromstad, the first winner of HGTV Design Star, will mentor the finalists in this new season.

The show will be an exciting one to watch for two months, running from July to September, and you will have a chance to follow your favorite participant. Mark your calendar, and have fun watching with your family or friends.

Thursday Two Questions #39-Coach Behaving Badly

Our soccer season is about to come to an end as far as games go, but then there is still try-out afterward. I had more than enough with the way JoJo's coach behaved. He is the bigger looser of a person that I've known for using the "F..." word with the kids, and is famous for foul language if we lost the game.

A few parents are planning to report him to the club president, and I personally just want to walk away. Another handful of parents said that the kids hearing bad language all the time, and they think it is ok for talking to these 12-13 years old boys that way.

For me, it is not appropriate for an adult, a respected coach, to talk trash to the children who look up at him for direction and learning to behave as a player and as a man later in life.

1) When a child misbehave, we take discipline and correct him/her, so what kind of discipline should we apply to an adult who acts like a spoiled brat?

2) Is it appropriate to use bad language to talk to pre-teen/teenage children even if they've heard them before?

Buy Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products To Support Local Communities

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

While sitting out in the heat of the sun at my son's soccer game, I had an excruciating headache at our tournament. One of the parents on our team slipped me a pain killer, and the headache was gone a few minutes later.

After our noon competition, I asked the lady about the medicine that she has given me, and to my surprise she told me it was one of Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products. It is an over the counter pain reliever, but with the hustle of our schedule I forgot to ask her for the name.

Pharmacist

She informed me that when she buys Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness products, Walgreens also supports local communities with their contribution through Walgreens Way to Well Fund™.  I like that idea; moreover, I like how effective Walgreens product worked on my piercing headache that day.

If you blog-hop, you will see many bloggers are having giveaways Walgreens Gift Cards, take your chance to enter, and remember to shop at your local Walgreens to help them with their goal in assisting with your local communities.

Most Walgreens Brand Health and Wellness Products carry the same active ingredients as others, and they have 100% satisfaction guarantee but as an affordable price so you know that you can also save money shopping with them.

White Magnolia Flower

Pink is the most popular color for magnolia, but I'm starting to see deeper pink tone, almost purple, and white magnolia trees around my neighborhood.

This white magnolia is in the front yard of a neighbor which I'm not close with, so I just have to shoot a few pictures and hurry away.

With all the rain and cold weather we had this year, our flowers come much later, and left earlier after many rainy days. Stealing moments to enjoy nature is very thrilling.

Blue/Purple Osteospermum

Life has no smooth road for any of us; and in the bracing atmosphere of a high aim the very roughness stimulates the climber to steadier steps, till the legend, over steep ways to the stars, fulfills itself.
