I made a point of not writing anything about politics and religious, but I'm going to break that mode today. Personally, politics and religion are two areas that I consider "touchy subjects". I respect people's choices on this matter.
I was brought up in traditional Roman Catholic household, and priests and nuns are some what sacred people in our belief. They are God's partners! They're married to God! That's their sacrifice to their human beings, and that is why we hold them on high regards because they are extraordinary people.
In the recent news, a father of two was ordained into priesthood, and received exemption to priestly celibacy. This just threw me out of the loop and has me questioned over and over again about the faith that I was taught to, long ago. I mean, what gives?
Now, if we take this route, we can fall in love with our own priest, hopefully we can get married with him, and oh yes...he can still be a priest with exemption to his celibacy duty. What joy and what heaven it would be!
I am just so disappointed in reading any further about this, and I know we all have different opinion about it.
1) So it would be interesting to know, what do you think of married priests?
2) Would you follow the traditional belief, or would you just crumble and give in to the demand?
