Pink Cactus Flower

I snapped this beautiful Christmas cactus flower at my brother's house about three weeks ago. It was such a joy to see when outside was gloomy and snowy.

Since the lighting was poor and I was not in a perfect location, I took the pictures as best as I could.  This Christmas cactus flower was just at the beginning of its bloom.

When these flowers were still young, their colors had the tone of pink color, but when they were all open, they turned to white color. Have a great weekend!

Thursday Two Questions #20-Finding Balance

Another week seemed to just fly by, and I found myself behind again. Or maybe not, I am always playing catch up some how. At times, I manage to stay ahead of the game, but other times I'm just trailing on.

I have to give lots of credits to working moms/women who have the outside and inside jobs, but manage to stay in balance or keeping things running smoothly. It seems that our daily life have gotten twice the loads of chores, duties, and responsibilities.

1) How do you keep balance between work and home?

2) Do you think blogging has something to do with how busy we've become?

Seal of Approval

In the same Pizza Hut in my city, where I previously took picture of the Pepsi sign, I saw this fire department plague. I thought is was unique to see.

I start to pay a closer attention to special signs like this now wherever I go. It is fun to see, and there is history in it.

Pretty Pink Orchids

Orchids are blooming at this time in the nurseries at many different stores. It is good to see flowers since it reminds me that spring will soon be coming. This type of orchid is sold at Meijer and Kroger in their gift department.

Isn't it pretty? The marking on this orchid is just amazing, and it has such soft tone of pink on them. I couldn't pass by without sneaking to take some pictures.

These orchids come in so many different colors such as orange, white, light purple, and honey, but today the pink color orchids got my undivided attention.

Thursday Two Questions #19-Looking For a New Camera

There are many bloggers who are also wonderful photographers! Thanks to the digital cameras, and the internet; we are all able to see talented people around the world with just a click of our fingertips.

I love macro photos since I can see so much more details in every subject. Point and shoot cameras nowadays can do an amazing job at capturing the moment, or creating marvelous things with the images.  I've also seen many bloggers/photographers selling their photographs as well.

I've listed my photos at Etsy, Artfire, and RedBubble, but I just exhausted my finance at Etsy. I also found myself spreading too thin with socializing in order to get noticed. At the last straw, I pull them all off to save my sanity.

So here is my two questions:

1) Have you successful sell any of your photos online?

2) What is your favorite point and shoot camera for under $200 dollars?

Red Flat Bromeliad Flowers

Bromeliad flowers are blooming at this time of the year, in many different nurseries. There are many types of bromeliad plants, and come in so many different colors. This particular bromeliad flowers have a flat body.

I have seen yellow bromeliad, light pink, dark pink, and orange! They have different shapes and very showy too.

They are a bit pricey, and knowing that I'm not a gardener of any kind; I didn't dare to bring home one. I will just enjoy looking at them at the nurseries.

Free Stuffs Are At Your Fingertips

Free is good, right? If I told you that there is a website that offers free samples, free trial offers, and other freebies online, would you be curious enough to at least check it out to see what you might find?

Once you are on the site, you will see many different things such as free coffee from Star Buck, baby formula from Enfamil, hair care samples from Nexxus, and free Crest whitestrips 3D, etc. Most of these products cost you nothing, including shipping!

Time is tough for everyone right now, so whatever we can get for free is a great thing! Looking over this website, you might even qualify for free cell phones, and I can testify for SafeLink. It is totally free for those that are in the low income bracket or elderly people.

There is another website that lists other free stuff, such as free food samples, but you might have to pay for shipping and handling. Just look over carefully to see if you can afford to pay the small fees for what you want.

Personally, I really appreciate the work and effort that these websites putting in.  They collect all the information and put it all on one site, making it available at our fingertips.

Dried Flowers And Leaves

Along the front side of the Conservatory at Belle Isle, there is a huge bush of these flowers that at first glance I thought was hydrangea.  They are not, however, since the leaves have different shape.

These photos were taken at the end of November, and this bush was prepared for hibernation.  I love the colors on the leaves, and the dried flowers too.

Hope you all have a great weekend...

Thursday Two Questions #18-Neighboring

In just one night, we have accumulated more than five inches of snow on the ground! My arms and shoulders are in pain from shoveling, even though my kind neighbor had plowed most of it during the snow storm.

I have a couples of very kind neighbors, and they are brothers! We don't have a close relationship but they are there if I ever needed help. We are "hi" and "bye" people, but in the summer, my son and their son play together.

Here are my two questions for this week:

1) What kind of relationship do you have with your neighbor?

2) Do you keep an eye out for the children in the neighborhood?

Tabasco Sauce Goes With Every Food!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

In my family, hot sauce is a must have, and we have many different kinds, but TABASCO® Original Red remains our favorite of all, and most often use than any other sauce.

For me, I can't eat my omelet, chicken wings, and chicken soup without this sauce, since it enhances the flavor in the foods, and makes it taste much better too.

When making baby back rib, my oldest son rubs a little of the Tabasco Original Red on the meat, which gives it a tangy taste when done.  It also seems to tenderize the meat and retain the color beautifully. In fact, he made a slap of baby back rib last night, and we devoured it in no time.

Do you know that Tabasco Original Red is also Pizza Perfected? My kids drip this sauce on their pizza too just like other people sprinkle dried pepper flakes on their pizza! I haven't tried it yet, but they are very convincing just by watching them eat.

Super Bowl is coming, and to spice up your party, I invite you to check out Game-Day Party Menu where you will find coupons and recipes for foods and drinks. Your friends will be amazed with your talents!

Good Old Days

I wasn't around when a big tall glass of Pepsi only cost .5 cents!  Anyone remembers this price? Spotting this sign at a local Pizza Hut, and it reminds me of the good old days when things were much cheaper.

If you get a glass of soda this size now, it could easily cost you around $2 to $3 dollars at a three-star restaurant.  Wonder how much it would cost us for glass of soda five years from now!

I've Gotten Myself a Stalker!

Normally, we all feel the affect of Monday blues, but I got spooked on Monday instead when I saw that I've been stalked by the X's girlfriend on all my blogs, my family's blog, and my family members' websites this past week.

Shee..not even my closest friends or my family members, or my followers check out my writing sites, or go back in my 2008 archive! It's just plain spooky!

It's not the X, because he was with our children in Detroit and the IP address registered to his home town, his computer! I should be feeling flattered, but I don't! I think it's just too odd for a person to behave this way! I've read many blogs that post about this very subject, and now I'm eerie!

Natural Bamboo and Jute Rug

As we are more conscientious about "going green", we start to look for things that won't harm the earth in the long run.  Bamboo is one of the most versatile and sustainable natural materials on this planet.

It has been made into many different things that we are using regularly, and among them is Bamboo Rug, which comes in many different colors, styles, and sizes. I wouldn't mind having this bamboo rug for my home, knowing that the material is eco-friendly.

Jute Rug, on the other hand is something that I've not heard off, but according to information that I've read, it is made of natural material, which contains no pesticide or fertilizer.  Jute is known to be second to cotton for their varieties of uses, and also a type of vegetable fiber that have spun into strong threads.

If you are looking to buy a rug, and eco-conscientious, both of these websites is worth checking out!
