White Zinnia Turning Color

This is the same White Zinnia With Pink Heart that I showed you last week. I was hoping that it would stay a white zinnia, but the petals began to turn into lavender.

I had many pink and orange zinnia flowers growing in this same pot, and of course a white one would add such a contrast to the colorful ones, but this white zinnia flower has its own agenda.

From a touch of lavender colors on the petals, it became completely pink. The heart of this white zinnia flower stayed amazingly pink. Now that is one nature's wonder, isn't it!?

It's always amazing to see how a flower changes color as it's life comes to and end

Our native Trillium does the same thing as it ages. Just like me, as I age the colour pink appeals to me so much. HPS!

So pretty and interesting how it changed colour. By coincidence I posted a zinnia photo on Beautiful World this evening!

I especially loved the 3rd set of photos with the three images next to each other. Really interesting composition, somehow makes the flower more alive.
