Make Money With Your Photos-Thursday Two Questions #55
I signed up at RedGage about two years ago when friends asked me to, and then I forgot all about it because I was swamped with too many things to do. However, I recently checked back in and decided to use this website to share my photos just for fun since I have so many in my archives.
I uploaded "A Flower Bed for Bee" below with my mind sets on the sheer joy of sharing the beauty in nature. After dropping JoJo off at school, 7:15 in the morning, I came back to find that my photo got picked for today feature. Wait, nothing hits yet, until I saw that I also earned $4.20 for feature bonuses. It was like winning a lottery. By the way, this is much better than trying to sell a photo at RedBubble, and I earned my keep!
Many of you are fantastic photographers who took stunning pictures with your fancy camera, humongous lens, top of the line DSLR to be specific! I know because I have visited your blogs and was left breathless at times. If money isn't what you are after, then just do it for fun. However, if you don't want it, send it my way :-) I can use it to get a better camera.
Joking aside, here are my two questions for this week:
1) Would you be interested in earning some pocket money for your photos?
2) Why or why not?

Icy, I am having so much fun on that site. Thanks so much for the invite. There are some fantastic photographers on there and your bee shot is amazing!!! I haven't even been on there for 24 hours and I already have 5 cents. I know it doesn't seem like much but I am thrilled that I have anything :)
1. I am definitely interested in earning some pocket money for my photos. I consider my blogging as one way of earning from them, since some advertisers pay me a lot higher and twice I was given a surprise bonus for my post, the advertiser mentioned about my writing and the photos I enclosed in the post :) This is wonderful Icy, I will give this a time and share it when I get a chance. Thanks for sharing this!!
2. Why? I just find earning pocket money is so much fun! I blog for the sheer enjoyment and fun before, and my fun multiplied gazillion times when I started earning from it! Like what you said, I use it to buy gadgets for my hobby, and also support some of my adopted charities. it's a great way to earn.
why not sure sure.. but this kind of shot is very necesaary to make money.. and i think im missing on that only. hahaha.. congrats for the grab. The pic is quite rare
Naqvee♥
Wow!!! Congrats on this. I've not heard of the website you're speaking of. I'll be sure to check it out when things settle down on my end. Hope you're well. Hugs
I know I already commented but I am just so excited over Red Gage. So many awesome photographers on there sharing their work, it already has me addicted - see what you did, Icy :D
Betchai, check it out. With your shots, you could be earning alot there and it's so much fun just to see everyone else's photos.
But I find time is little for me to move around in so many places.
Though money definitely looks very interesting to me.
First I have to tell you how much I like your pretty bee on the flower.
I'm really in this more for fun but earning a few dollars wouldn't be bad either. I was approached recently by someone who wants to purchase one of my photos.
I would do it if it didn't take a lot of time.
1) Would you be interested in earning some pocket money for your photos?
Ans: hmmmm, why not?
2) Why or why not?
So that I can quite my day job and just shoot pictures all day long...
Seriously, photography is such fun by itself, but if there is some sideline goodies to be made, why not...
Thanks for the tip!
I thoroughly enjoy my photography but I do not consider it as a money making exercise, as I a real amateur, maybe one day if it is open to those outside the USA. Your photo is a stunner, I think you are under rating both yourself and your camera. :)
Oh I forgot to say, and no need to post this second comment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on my "Notte Bianca a Marta" post it was a fun evening, we are certainly lucky to be able to experience such events.
1) If you want you can use any of my photos. I am already swamped. But do keep up the good work, I really believe in time, you should be able to get your new lens.
2)That is wonderful to hear. It's not much, but it is a start and the more you upload the better it gets. Don't give up.
Sorry, I think this post got everyone excited, and we have more things to say than one.
I also wanted to say, what makes this world so wonderful is the power of sharing instead of invading...Share before they steal...Earn for yourself before someone earns for your work.
I used to post photos on Redgage and had several photos feautured but i do not think they pay people outside the US.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for visiting and supporting..The money is too little to be excited. I do it just for the sheer joy of sharing first!
Loree,
I think they do, because I have seen many others from the Philippines, Australia, etc...
Icy, I know I must go back when deadlines are not so pressing as I really love looking at photos and sharing mine too. Yours are always stunning so you should have a following in no time.
1) Yes!
2) Because I think my work is good. :)
Congratulations on your bee shot and RedGage. I have tried repeatedly to sign up on the site without any luck. It just won't let me. I wish I could as I desperately need the money!
Congratulations, Icy. But as you know, I'm not surprised at all. I often try to get you to do various things with your photos because I think they're impressive.
I would like to earn with photos, but I'm not that good. I can take functional pictures for a blog post, but that's where it ends.
I'm sooo happy for you and I hope you get tons more sold!
Wow! That is a gorgeous photo! Anyone can see it's value.
That's awesome!
You are very talented.
I don't take such good photos to try to make money of them :) If I did then I would love to make some change.
Enjoy your talent!
Oh yeas, why not? What a nice surprise! Your photo is beautiful. I will have to check that site.
