Jefferson Beach Marina

Who said Detroit is in a ruin? It's not so and it depends on the areas that you're visiting! There are still many wonderful and beautiful spots around or nearby Detroit to enjoy. Take this Jefferson Beach Marina for an example, you can see the wealth and gorgeous view here!

There are rows and rows of fantastic boats at just this one location. If you go into the heart of Detroit, of course you will see devastation and ruin, but there are plenty of histories in them as well. However, if you go to the other areas, you will see it is still a bustling and richly in livelihood.

If we never go out to explore, nobody will agree with you.

I think there is a decine in many of our cities, Icy...the recession and loss of jobs has hit all of us. Look at me, taking off to India, partly to survive and to save enough money to get an apt when I return. But, regardless, there are lovely areas, mixed in with those that are run down and devastated. That's what keeps us going, I think.

That is a very pretty spot...so summery looking. Let's hope that our forgotten cities will one day soon be made enjoyable and bustling again.

A lovely spot amid the ruins.

I agree, these are amazing images of the area. The water is still blue...that's important. :-)
