Thursday Two Questions #50-Facebook Apps?
We all often hear that life is so busy, so much to do, and little time to spare, right? Then why in the heck that there are a constant requests for me to play games on Facebook? Don't you think I would rather spend time outside taking pictures, or just be outside since our summer is winding down, and we will soon be covered with snow?
You have no idea how many apps I had to block already! However, I also admit that I'm a bit addicted to my friends' updates, but other than that, I refuse to sit there and play games on Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg makes enough money to swim in a gigantic pool everyday, and I'm still poor. So, I better get to work and not play games.
Here are my questions for this week:
1) Do you play games or sending request to your friends to use this app or that app?
2) What do you usually do when you are on Facebook?

good questions. I don't play games, I just check everyone's statuses, and will snoop on my kids' walls once in awhile. But I don't spend much time on Facebook.
1. Oh God, I get those requests all the time as well and I hate them. I just delete and delete. If I get too many from one person, I delete the person :D
2. On facebook, I post pics and check up on my friends' status. I comment on some and while I know that I should be doing other things, I still can't get completely away from FB. It is truly addicting, even for adults.
I used to spend way too much time on facebook so I blocked apps and stopped responding to requests to add more. Now when I am on facebook, I read statuses, update my fan page, and chat if family is on.
I never play games on Facebook.
Because I seldom visit Facebook.
I do NOT play FB games. They are a ridiculous waste of time. I am already swamped with not enough time to visit everyone.
I quickly scan FB when I got on and hurriedly get back off.
Isn't it funny that Facebook can be so addicting? I mean, crazy right? It's not food, it is not something you can get instant gratification, unless you think reading about what your friends are up to is gratifying?
I hate to say it, but so far, I am not addicted- YAY!! There is so much to do on Facebook as far as promoting, but I stick to what works. I go there to promote and not to KIT with friends.
1. I used to play games before I got into blogging, now who has the time?? I have blocked MANY of them myself!!
2. I use it to keep track of my family, update my fan page, connect and network with folks and friends! Okay, sometimes I use it as an entry on giveaway forms too...LOL
1) I don't play games nor any apps in FB, but just reading friends update alone and commenting left and right is taking so much of my time, sometimes to the point where I lose my productivity, and there is even no point to be constantly chatting with your friends everyday since that was not my happier life ages ago when I was much younger when there was no social networking. However, for some reasons, I have been addicted there and still struggling, am planning to write a resolve on how I should manage my free time!
2) Nothing, just spending so much time reading updates that sometimes even cause me stress. Honestly, I joined Facebook before since I wanted to link my posts, but now, I believe I am spending more time in FB than in my sites. My 2 blogs are earning, and they are for a purpose, yet, I still have to find purpose why I am in FB but I spend so much more time there just wasting time away :( I am so struggling with FB addiction. Sometimes, I wish I had not join there at all, but then, hubby is also there and my family, so I dunno, I have a love-hate relationship with FB :(
I'm with you Icy, I would rather enjoy the outdoors than sit playing games on FB. I don't respond to any request that uses an app.
I'm not on Facebook that much but when I do go on I read the latest updates and sometimes respond. I figure when it gets cold outside I will get caught up with everyone.
1. I do play Scrabble but am not addicted to it. The other requests I ignore :)
2. I use Facebook to grow my blog, network with other bloggers and share links that I think are worth it. However, I must admit that I do waste time, sometimes, looking at photographs etc ;)
Here's my Two Questions post today : http://www.everydaygyaan.com/2011/08/finding-inspiration.html
yeah, me too, i hate those games request. i tried playing one game before and guess what, it ate most of my time. addicting. but i have to stop. there is much more important things i have to do.
I don't go on Facebook at all! I waste enough time blogging.
i never played a game in facebook, and yes, i get those requests, too. i just ignore the requests.:p
i usually post something--an interesting article i've read, funny quotes and photos, or what's in my mind. then i check out my family & friends' updates and photos.
Do not play games, and my facebook posts are usually about nature, politics as they relate to nature, or family.
A thought provoking post, short and sweet. Thank you.
1. No I don't play games online or request anyone to play. Just not my thing. I have too much to do already.
2. On fb I response to family / friends and I'm gone.
Aloha!
I spend all of my indoor time with blogging and I don't even have facebook. Most people I know think that is strange.
I pay Zuma every now and then but I don't send my friends invites. I use FB to keep in touch with my friends, especially with those who live far away.
What a questions heheh..
I did not play on facebook if i will go there i am in Filipina mommy community chatting with them...
I don't have a Facebook! Can you believe it?
