Heart of a Blue Iris

Well, my irises had come and gone, but I still have these photos to show you! This was the heart of my blue iris after the rain. I was always fascinated with the "brush-like" looking part of this flower, so it became my subject.

Many flowers either bloomed really early or really late this year, and I have missed most of them. We had so much rain in May and June, and then went under a heat wave in July. Whatever the weather brought, I still found quite a few things to appreciate. How about you?

  4. Very interesting pictures, Icy...sometimes, with macros, if you didn't tell us what the photo was of, one wouldn't really know. Then, when you give us a hint, it's perfectly clear.
