Thursday Two Questions #36-Which Platform?
First off, I apologize to those bloggers that left comments on my last Thursday Two Questions if I have not returned a visit. As you all know, we all lost comments since Blogger went through a big hiccup last week.
It was a scare and frustrating as well. However, I had to remind myself of a life before blogging, and I had other work to keep me occupied. All right, confession time: I check into Facebook account many times, more than I normally did, to see if anyone else had the same problem.
Here come the questions for this week:
1) Have you backup your blog just in case something went wrong?
2) Are you tempted to have a WordPress or Type Pad blog after what happened last week? Or are you a loyal Blogger account holder?

1. That was scary Icy. I don't have it backed up so if something happened it would all be lost.
ReplyDelete2. I had a typepad blog once for Yasou! but I didn't like it. I tried wordpress but do not know how to use it :) I think I'll stay with Blogger unless something else happens.
BTW I Adore that photo.
1) like Jo, that was scary, and like Jo, I too don't have back-up :( I probably should!
ReplyDelete2) i started with friendster, then, wordpress, both freely hosted. somehow, i love blogger more since it seems to be more user friendly. ahhh, I am tempted though to look at other hosting sites, but I will wait and see, because I read blogger updates, and they I believe are trying their best now that it will not happen again.
1) I should do the back up once a week, since my blog changes so much, but honestly, I haven't.
ReplyDelete2) Yes, very much so. But not exactly, I am tempted to have blogger hosted by another company, not changing from blogger. Although the thought has crossed my mind. ;-)
Actually, I could be wrong, but I don't think your blog posts could be lost. Your comments, side panels and other ads etc, could go, but I think there's always a way to get stuff back once they've been published on the Internet.
ReplyDeleteI was tempted to go Wordpress, but I don't know why I haven't done so for my latest blog. It may have slipped my mind.
I have a back-up copy of my blog but I forget to update it sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about Wordpress but then I'm pretty loyal to Blogger. It is so easy to use and the problems are rare.
I don't have a blogger account, but that must have been pretty inconvenient to deal with that. I do like you pic though. It's really pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt was annoying, scary and frustrating but I do not have a back up. I have a back up only of the one I close. lol
ReplyDeleteI do not think about switching accounts. I actually have a wordpress and have not posted to it yet. I am not technically savvy so avoid trying new things online.
