Seeds From Last Year

Not quite sure what these were, but I'm guessing they were thistles from last year. They grew along the edge of our soccer field.

Wild flowers grow everywhere and anywhere, and they hold on to their shape quite amazingly throughout the winter.

Flowers are not the only pretty thing in my eyes, since I find others that have the same or equal beauty in them.

  1. They are quite pretty, Icy, and I think they would look nice in one of those dried arrangements.

Hope you had a nice holiday.

  2. before and after the bloom, flowers hold their beauty, may be different when they are dry but still beautiful.

  3. Yes, I've seen those back home but can't quite remember what they are. Nice capture! And isn't it funny how "weeds" can sometimes be pretty?! :)

  4. Even though they are old, they are beautiful and perfect exactly as they are. Lovely captures!

  5. Interesting how it still has the shape of a flower, but all have dried out.

  6. Those are pretty, when I enlarged your photos I see they have yellow tips. They do look like some sort of thistle. Great macros Icy.

  7. I think of us as flowers sometimes. When we get older we may dry up some but there is some of the original beauty left in us.
