Spotting a Red Sailboat

All the sailboats were park at the Detroit Yacht Club, and among them a red one stood out.  I've been joining the meme/theme for a while now, so obviously I know where to post this red sailboat pictures.  I found the meme/theme very helpful in helping me to pay more attention to things around me.

There was no place to park for me to wander around this area, so I stopped briefly on the road for a couple of shots.  Don't worry, there was no car behind me either.  It would have been nice to explore for more photo opt, or just to spend time looking around.

Purple Orchid Bud

These were the purple orchids at Belle Isle Conservatory, and the color was much deeper than what showed up in my camera. I'm not a professional photographer who knows how to set aperture, light, and ISO speed.  I just point and shoot, literally, and cross my fingers for the best.

I try to fix it in photoshop to bring the dark shade back, and again I don't know much about photoshop either, though I always intent to learn something new each day.  There is so much to do, and there is so much to learn, but time keeps flying by.

My son has a soccer game at 8:30 tomorrow morning, so I must go doing laundry and get things ready.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Win Natural Dental Hygiene Products

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tom's of Maine. All opinions are 100% mine.

Personal appearances can say a lot about us, such as our hair, our clothes, and our dental health.  My children were raise to brush their teeth at least twice daily since I believe their teeth should last their lifetime.  However, I also concern about the abrasiveness in the products that we used regularly on the teeth enamel.

Tom's Of Maine offers natural products such as toothpaste, and mouthwash where all the contents/packages are recyclable.  Moreover, their products also contained no artificial flavors or colors, no preservatives, and no fragrances.

I don't know about you, but at our house, we always aim for anything natural, from foods to personal products and personal belongings. My teenage daughter, being very conscious about the environment,  is all for natural products, and has asked me to order some for her.  We can't wait to try them out!

If you haven't heard of this company, you can find them on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter for the latest update and information.

Flashback

These photos were taken in the summer, at a garden center when all kinds of flowers were in bountiful.  The branch of this flower just laid above a bed of other flowers which made them stood out beautifully.

I had no idea what these flowers are called, but it's winter here, and I have to go through my archives to look for the photos that I need.  These ones stood out and they are just perfect.

Shopping Site For Men

It is that time of the year for us to start on the Holidays shopping wagon, and you know as well as I do, shopping for men isn't that easy.  In fact, buying clothes is downright boring since there are not too many choices for us to choose from.

Luckily, if you like shopping online, at Blair.com you can find a variety of different styles, designs, colors, banded bottom shirts, and sweaters.  Moreover, you can find swimwear, underwear, suits, sport coats, and footwear!  Just take a look and browse through a great collection for men.  I actually like many shirts that I see on here since they were different from the ones around here.

Accessories include hats, watches, gloves, cuff links, and socks, plus prices start at under $20 dollars, and shipping is free.  If you are into gift cards, they also offer it as an option! What I really like about this website, is that they are not overwhelming with products, but has just enough merchandises for my browsing pleasure.

Have you begun your Christmas shopping yet?  Do you shop online, or in person?  Personally, I avoid shopping at the mall during this time of the year, since I am impatient waiting in line, or looking for a parking spot.

On The Way Out

Nesting beneath a greenery shrub by the school was this tiring looking flower.  At first, I thought they were mum, but then they resembled the dahlia flowers that I've seen.  Whatever they were, to stay on this long with an unpredictable weather was quite amazing!

Some of the flowers had touches of white petals as the top layer, while others were just totally concentrating on one shade.  This color was another one of those mixed tones that I couldn't find a name for...

This will be the last flowers I would see outside until next summer! We missed the beautiful fall changing colors since we had cold, rain and chilly temperature.

Have a fun weekend..

Thursday Two Questions #10-On Beauty

Have you noticed the eyelashes on celebrities and models lately? They are curled way back, and so long that the lashes touched their eyebrows. It looks so ridiculous, and outrageous to me, but then I'm way behind the time.

I don't mind a little accentuating touch, but when I see those longer than a mile lashes, it just bothers me a bit. It looks fake and uncomfortable. It is not what I see on normal and real people! Then again, I'm a person that not uses lots of make-ups either.  If you look into my bag, you will find one lipstick, and one eye-liner; nothing more as far as make-up goes!

Here are my questions:

1) Do you know eyelashes have purposes too?

2) How do you dress-up your eyelashes, with mascara, curling them, or nothing at all?
The simplest way to make your eyes stand out, with little effort, is to find the right eyebrows arch to match the shape of your face.  It is so much healthier than putting a ton of mascara on your lashes.

Lavender Cabbage Flower

Is this color pink, or lavender? I think it is a cross between the two colors! Nestling between all the colorful mums is this ornament cabbage flower! I wonder if we can eat them, or if they are the same as the purple cabbage we see in the store.

This one stood out the most with its multi-colors leaves!  While I was at the Conservatory, I was in a rush for some reasons unknown to me either.  There was nobody around on that day, and I had plenty of time to get back to pick up JoJo from school.

Well, let's get back to the color: is it pink or lavender or what do you call it?  I'm just going to say it is lavender, and call it a day! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

Find That Great Chemistry

It seemed effortless for a certain type of women to attract the opposite sex easily, but then there are others that couldn't get a date even though they are equally pretty.

Blame it on the pheromones, which are the chemicals that release neurotransmitters to alter the response of the opposite sex, and for which some were naturally inherit.

In my opinion, having a successful and happy relationship, the couple must have some mutual chemistry during the courting period.  Pheromones came in handy, and were proven by scientist as a powerful tool for those that need a little help.  If I were in the market for a relationship, I would look for something especially made for women.

Thursday Two Questions #9-Moods Disorder

For many of us Michigan dwellers, this is the time of year when the changes in weather can bring on a gloomy mood.  Well, at least for me it is, since everything around me seemed to just die.  I find no enthusiasm when looking outside, and physically feel drained.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is also known as Winter Depression, and it is mainly caused by the lack of sunlight. My personal preference is to go to the Conservatory as often as I can to soak in the beautiful colors, and see different flowers.

Here are my questions:

1) Do you know that you can help your moods with the right foods?

2) What is the best ways for you to beat depression, naturally?

If it was up to me, I would live in another State with sunlight and warm weather for the most part of the year. Meanwhile, I sat on that bench at the Conservatory when I was there...dreaming!

Red Maple Leaf

It is cold enough around here to see frosting in nature.  The casting of shadow with a bit of sweat on this red maple leaf in the sun was beautiful to see.  There was nothing much left as nature preparing itself for the winter.

I wanted to take a picture of this red maple leaf when the frost was still on it, but by the time I was able to go outside, the sun had melt it down some.  We are in for good long cold winter around here.

White and Lavender Dahlia

I found these dahlia flowers hidden under some bushes by the school entrance, and they seemed to be in perfect shape still, despite the cold weather we were having this week.

It always amazes me to see blooming flowers in November.  I guess they escaped the freezing rain and chilly wind hidden under the bush.

I was happy to see these dahlia flowers even though they were a little beaten up by the cold.  We can't expect much when it is already in November.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
