Happy Halloween

It is JoJo's first Halloween Dance at the Middle School, so his brother and sister all woke up at 6:30 to help him looked scary and spooky.  The make-up artists worked on their little brother.

The fake scar went on one side of JoJo's face.  It looks gruel-some, isn't it?

The blood was smearing on to the other side!

The finished look! (Does not look like my child anymore!)

Out of the door, and to the school he went!

Happy Halloween, everybody..

Envision An Ideal Kitchen Table

I would love to have a drop leaf table in our small kitchen, something that would fit in the available space and provide a place to eat for four people comfortably.  Our current table is taking up every inch in this room.

This table has survived my children for over ten years.  JoJo and Roco had put it to the test of durability and steadiness.  I have lots of good memories with this table: the kids did their school work here, ate here, worked on many art projects here, and danced on top of it here too.

Now that the children are grown, I really want to change this table out with another one, so I could re-claim some space in this kitchen.  I'm claustrophobic now as I'm aging also!  I didn't think it's possible, but there is no other explanation for this changes.  Weird, but true!

An ideal table for my kitchen space would look like the one in the picture below! It would give me an option to remove or add part of the table back to accommodate the numbers of my guests without too much hassle.

There you have it, my Friday morning dream! The weather is fearful outside, so I visualize what I want to do for each room in my house, and as they said, part of making your dream comes true is in the ability to see what it is like!  That's visualizing!

Thursday Two Questions #7-Shopping Obsession

Ok, confession time!  I have an obsession with shopping, and that is looking for a "perfect" hand bag. It seems that when I'm stressed, I would take a trip to the store and always ended up at the hand bags area.

The "perfect" hand bag that I was so happy with a month ago, became slightly "imperfect" now. At times, I wanted a big bag to put everything in, but then at times, I just want to have some thing small so it doesn't weight me down.

Well, you have to understand this, my bag is always full of kids' little toys such as Lego pieces, rocks, socks, mittens, Kleenex tissues, my pocket calendar to keep me straight, water bottles, and many more.  It's a catch all bag!

These were my purchase last week when I couldn't talk JoJo into having a hair cut!  Depression you know? Na, it's an excuse to get out an exercise that obsession...I took these pictures with my cell phone to send it to my daughter, and they turned out very decent.

Here are my questions:

1)  What is your obsession as far as shopping for lady's accessories go?

2)  Now that we've nailed down your shopping habit, would you pay full price for it, or would you wait for it to be on sale?

Celebrate Nature

All things are artificial, for nature is the art of God.

Stalk Of Tiny Flowers

Don't bother to argue with me, these flowers had lavender/purple tint to them, and I told you that I love purple color.  Therefore, correcting me would be a defeated quarrel :-)

In fact, I saw it with my very own eyes, astigmatism and all, it was lavender, but my camera recorded the color differently. It has a mind of its own, some time blue turns into purple, and purple turns into pink.

Also, don't ask me for the name of these beautiful flowers either! I'm clueless! It's just so pretty looking, and I am just so happy snapping the pictures.  Have a fun and wonderful weekend, everyone.

Thursday Two Questions #6-Guessing Game

If you are my regular readers, you know that I love discovering new things!  These stringy things was one of those that I happened by chance finding one day while waiting for my son at the soccer field.  You'll never know what you'll see, unless you wander around!

To answer my own question from last week, the photos you see here and in the last post, are wild asters at my son's soccer field.  I don't know what color they were, because there were white, and purple asters along this edge of the wood.

They look similar to the clementis, but if you look closer you will see the red seeds in the middle!  Aren't they wild looking? (You don't have to answer this one, just nod your head :-)

Here are my questions for this week:

1)  Now as an adult, do you have a particular time going to bed/waking up?

2)  Do you really feel energize after exercise as they said or much too tired to move?

Fun Soccer

Every Sunday at about 6:00, the boys gather at the soccer field and just have fun playing soccer! No scores keep! No referee!  It is just like a basketball pick-up game, and whoever shows up, just joins right in and plays.  Sometimes, the field is mixed with different age groups of men, women, and young kids.

How To Find Out The Loading Time of Your Blog

Have you ever arrived on a blog, or site and just sit there waiting for it to load?  Have you listened to that little voice in your head going, "come on, come on"?  I confess and plead guilty of this!  It is one of the reasons why I multi-task simply because I don't have time and I want to get things done.

There are a few ways you can speed up the loading time of your blog:
  • Cut down the size of your photos, instead of large size, use small
  • Limit the numbers of images in your post, two to three pictures are adequate enough
  • Go to your "setting", under "format", and chose to display less posts on your homepage
  • Remove some gadgets on your sidebar that serve no purpose
  • Cut down the size of your header's image
  • Eliminate auto play music!  We all have different taste in music, and it's annoying to arrive on the blog that has music blasting.  It also distracts visitors from reading your post!
Now come the fun to find out how fast your blog is loading

StopWatch--Just type in your URL and see how long it took to load up your page.  Mine took almost 8.5 seconds, and I'm aiming for around 6.5 seconds or less.  This means I need to do a little more blog cleaning.

Pingdom Tools--This is another option to test the loading time of your blog! This software gives me a close result of loading time as StopWatch, but I like this better. Pingdom Tools offers an overall look of your blog, and shows you the details of your posts also.  You can see which post, or gadget, or page that took the longest to load.
Everybody is rushing, and always running out of time nowadays! We are so busy with "real life", and our "online life" gets more hectic as we try to post, comment on other blogs, read emails, return emails or return comments.

Remember though, internet also has the "traffic-jammed" periods.  Don't get frustrated if it took a little longer to load your blog at times, and take into consideration the speed of your internet connection as well.

    Purple Flowers Plant

Here is another kind of purple flowers at my friend's house! I'm not kidding; she has many different flowers in her circle garden area that she had no idea what they are, and I'm clueless on the names of many also!

I learned new names, and then quickly I forgot them!  My old brain wasn't the same as it used to be.  When was that you might ask?  I don't remember either!  I'm too old to remember to the tee..For younger people, don't laugh; you'll get there some days, I promise!

Aren't  they beautiful though?  Love, love, love purple of all shades and tints! I wish our weather stays warm year round, because it is depressing to see all of these beautiful flowers died and went away!

    Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

Thursday Two Questions #5-Guessing Game Continues

    Here are my two questions:
    1. What is the best season to enjoy nature for you?
    2. Look at the photos above, do you know what they are?
I like to go discovering around the wooded area on my son's soccer field while he is at practice.  I used this time to relax, smell the flower, photo hunt, and reading.  For some reasons, if I sit still and not doing anything, I feel guilty for not being productive.  It's crazy when we live in a world where multi-tasking is like second nature to everyone, and if we are not then time seems going to waste!
