Thursday Two Questions #7-Shopping Obsession

Ok, confession time!  I have an obsession with shopping, and that is looking for a "perfect" hand bag. It seems that when I'm stressed, I would take a trip to the store and always ended up at the hand bags area.

The "perfect" hand bag that I was so happy with a month ago, became slightly "imperfect" now. At times, I wanted a big bag to put everything in, but then at times, I just want to have some thing small so it doesn't weight me down.

Well, you have to understand this, my bag is always full of kids' little toys such as Lego pieces, rocks, socks, mittens, Kleenex tissues, my pocket calendar to keep me straight, water bottles, and many more.  It's a catch all bag!

These were my purchase last week when I couldn't talk JoJo into having a hair cut!  Depression you know? Na, it's an excuse to get out an exercise that obsession...I took these pictures with my cell phone to send it to my daughter, and they turned out very decent.

Here are my questions:

1)  What is your obsession as far as shopping for lady's accessories go?

2)  Now that we've nailed down your shopping habit, would you pay full price for it, or would you wait for it to be on sale?

I regret to say I have so many purses (many designer) that I have lost count of them all. The only consulation is that I've never paid full price. TJ Maxx and Ebay are where my nicest ones have come from. The others were gifts.

1) I hate shopping for myself. I am just not ever completely satisfy with what I find. I love shopping for Trinity though. No obsession for ladies' accessories for me.

2) I never pay full price for anything, unless it is something very important to me that I use everyday and there is never a sale on it...For example "valuable watches" - BTW- don't have any - anymore.

Icy, I'd have to say it is probably earrings as I can find some for around a $1.00. I usually buy anything for myself at thrift stores.

Like your purses. Mine needs overhauled - too much junk in it!!

1. I am the same as you. I have spent hours trying to find the perfect bag or wallet.

2. I don't like paying full price for anything but if I find the perfect bag then I will.

i used to go to the mall when i'm stressed out. retail therapy was the answer! thank goodness i got over that phase. nowadays, when i am in the mood to buy something but the budget is tight, i buy a lipstick. but when i have extra cash, i buy shoes or sandals.:p

if i really, really like something, i am willing to pay for it at full price.

I don't like buying for myself. In fact, my husband buys all of my clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, etc.

To answer the second question, I know he watches the things he's interested in buying for me to go on sale. He's gotten quite a few good deals by being patient.

If I were to shop for myself, then I would either buy if only I have an outstandingly good coupon or if it were on deeply discounted. I hate to pay full-price for anything.

I seem to have an obsession with purses too but I never seem to find what works right for me. I'm short so some bags just look too big and I hate the way some of the straps are.

I always seem to wait for a sale so maybe that's why I can't find the perfect bag...lol....

Definitely handbags, and if I wanted it badly enough right then and there, I would probably pay full price.

Fun questions!

My obsession is a strange one. I get so cold in the winter that I've taken to buying thermals. I find myself buying new and different ones each year. Like you, they're all perfect (better than the last) until I wear them and find out they're not so perfect after all.
I definitely wait for the sales. I buy them in spring for the following year when they're on half price offers.

I RARELY pay full price for anything, especially since I've been jobless for nearly two years now. Don't really enjoy shopping much since I'm a hefty size. I've always loved earrings, though, since they fit whether I'm fat or skinny - and I've amassed quite a collect, none for which I've paid full price.

I like purses, too, and I've gottens some amazing buys at Dillard's, especially online - ie, a $500 bag for $70 - I keep the
price tages, laminate them, and keep them in the purses.

I do have some pocketbooks, but my obsession is with cds, movies, and books. My collection of all three is really huge.

I wait for sales unless I really want to get it.

(1) I'm not obsessed anymore. I now worry about all the bags and shoes I bought and could not find the occasion to wear ever since I started working from home! Also, I make my own accessories which is unique and far too interesting ;-)

(2) If I like something I'd pay full price for it since I appreciate the price of quality.

Handbags are my obsession also, I love them and own way too many. The designer ones really catch my eye but I never pay full price. TJ Maxx is my favorite place to shop for bags.

OMG... What a tough question BC. I don't think I don't have obsession for clothes or bags or earrings or shoes. But we were on a book sale last month. I really like to buy a medical book - a really rare one. Its not much but we are a bit short, so I just thought I'll come back soon, thinking no one but me can have interest on that one lol.
Hey, but I'm still a real girl you know :)Tweeted this one.
