Musing With a Purpose-The Days After
JoJo and I spent Labor's Day weekend with our friends and neighbors on the soccer field! His closest friends had a soccer tournament in Romeo. We watched two games on Saturday in the rain, and one game on Sunday.
After the Sunday game, we hooked up with another family and went to the Peach Festival. We walked many miles. More than three months combine of all my exercise! I was over-exhausted, and in pain. I could barely move the next day.
Then JoJo had his two friends over for the night after the festival to end summer time. They stayed up late, and woke up early laughing so happily. It was the sound of joy so I couldn't get mad at them even though I was so tired.
The boys went home in afternoon, and JoJo crashed right on the couch!
My body was in torture with pain and ache, but I couldn't sleep at all. I thought I would be out like a baby, but that didn't happen! In fact, I still can't get much sleep at all since Sunday. What gives?
I'm running behind, again, in visiting blogs and posting...I need to get back into routine.

Oh my goodness! I won't ever ride that. No wonder the boys were exhausted.
ReplyDeletehaha! 3 months worth of exercise, goodness!!! if you were me, i'll be in bed rest by now. lol!
ReplyDeleteglad to know that Jojo enjoyed the labor day weekend. :)
You're a fantastic mother and you have to do this all on your own. JoJo will appreciate it when he looks back later in life and reminisce on all you're doing for and with him now.
ReplyDeleteGet some rest.
It is the life. You are so resilient to have walked that many miles. Don't worry about the visits and all that stuff, take care of yourself please. JoJo is so lucky to have a mom like you.
ReplyDeletedon't worry about the visits Icy, I had been also not so visible in blogging :( oh, sorry about your 3 months exercise put all in one day, i hope you feel a lot better now
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I might have tried that ride but not now. It is a little wild looking for my taste.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of walking in one day, take it easy. Don't worry too much about the visits, I think many of us are running behind on comments these days.
