Hot Pink Flowers

Everyone knows the name of this flower, except me! I thought I know, but I really couldn't think of it right now. We woke up early at 6:00 this morning to go to a soccer tournament with my friend/neighbor. So my brain is fried! Yeah, another excuse...

This hot pink color is extraordinary to see, and with water drops it is even fresher looking. I went home between games to visit the local nursery and to take pictures. It is a great way for me to unwind.

Our weather is getting colder, and after spending the time on the open field; it is so good to be inside. We all had our winter gear on this morning, which is crazy since it is only the beginning of September.

Please do let me know the name of these flowers! I know it is a common and popular flower but I am never good with names. Honestly! I only have three kids, and call all three names before I get it right!

Enjoy other entries at Mosaic Monday!

  1. It is the Moss Rose - Portulaca, one of my childhood favorites.
They look so delicate but they are hardy little flowers.

This one in your photo has a gorgeous color, nice work!

  4. Icy, don't feel bad. How could we ever know all the names? You are certainly not alone with that one!

I also called my children by each others name. I told them it was because they pick up each others bad habits. :-)

    Spectacular shade of pink!

  6. They're certainly hot pink. They look like poppies to me, but I could be wrong because your first commentator already said what they are.

I do that with the kids' names too. You're not alone. On the flip side, they sometimes call me 'Daddy' so I don't feel that bad.
