Firecracker Flowers

Alright, there is no such thing as "firecracker flowers". I made the name up because I didn't know what these little flowers are called. They looked like those little poppers that the kids are using around July 4th, aren't they?
I missed the blooming period of these flowers so I really don't know what they actually look like either. However, I still like the way they are. They look unique and different.
I found them in the cactus wing at the Belle Isle Conservatory! Seeing something different is always such a thrill that I forgot to look for its name tag.

Mom used to invent name of flowers and I always believe her. One time there was a woman who asked me a name of a flower and I answered what Mom told me and the woman just laughed at me! Okay Mom is just kidding. Well who knows it might be it's name, firecracker LOL!

ReplyDeleteThey look just like flamingos in the wind. I don't think I've ever seen them before. They certainly make you stop, look and admire them.
ReplyDeleteow! The name is so appropriate.
ReplyDeleteI can paint and paint and paint … but then later I am in a different flow. And then it is a different style that flows out of me. Once these flowers stop, who knows when or if I will get back to them.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen firecracker flowers before. These are really beautiful.
