A Tangle Mess
Twice a week, I showed up for classes with R. and learned more about him. Each time I was a bit more "in love" with this guy, or whatever my head thought love was. He fascinated me with a broad knowledge. He impressed me with his organization skill and keeping the class fun but under controlled.
One night he put us into groups for a project. We had exactly ten minutes to pick a leader, a writer, and a plant to present our idea. He went around checking on groups' progress, and finding that I was laughing with TJ, a young man in my group. For some reasons, TJ's humor was just right on par with me that night, and we couldn't stop teasing each other.

He went back to his desk with a serious look on his face. "BC. What do you have for your group?" I was surprised to be called on to say the least. He knew I didn't usually talk. I was more behind the scene kind of character. I was not a leader or a speaker when there was a group project. I ran things from a quieter perspective.
So I looked at him, and listed what we had on TJ's paper! I thought that was enough for him to leave me alone, but through the next half an hour, R. insisted on calling my name. He drilled me for every question he had until it started to annoy me.
"I'm not a leader or speaker for my group tonight, Mr. R." I said gently. "Besides, is it picking on BC night?"
As soon as I said that, my classmates all chanted, "yeah, is it?" Some even said, "She usually doesn't talk!"
R. defended himself, "I know, I just wanted to see if she paid attention!"
My group looked at me and TJ, knowing immediately that R. was irritated because we were laughing. It was an uncomfortable situation, and his behavior that night was out of sort.
Then he tried to make peace by walking behind my chair, where there was hardly any space to walk, and brushed his stomach over my head. I was again deep in "lala land" with his cologne, when suddenly I realized that a button on his shirt was weaved in my long hair!
We were in a tangle mess...
