Shine Like The Sun
I'm losing my mind, seriously! I know the name of this flower, I swear. It was right on the tip of my tongue just a few minutes ago, but after waiting to upload these pictures, the name flied out of the window.
I think they are either Tickseed or Sunfire, but which one I'm not sure! I'm so confused now, just like this week! The fourth of July on Monday really threw me off, and my little boy leaving for his dad's house on Thursday didn't help either.
After looking up on the internet, I found out that some called these flowers tickseed, and other preferred to them as sunfire. So they are all in the family, and they are perennial flowers.
Sunfire, lives up to its name, is a sun-loving plant! They are drought tolerant and are best in well-drained soil.

Good Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share this morning. I love these sunfire flowers. They are just beautiful. You chose the perfect share on a sunshiny day.
I had some of these planted in my front garden. The sun here in Phoenix has finally taken its toll on the last of them. Yours are just beautiful.
Have a great Friday.

ReplyDeletethat happened to me a lot too Icy, thoughts disappearing in an instant, must be our age? or just too pre-occupied with our pictures? :) beautiful shots though.

These are such gorgeous flower! I love the color...as for one's memory. My boys told me long ago that I need to radically increase my dose of ginko.
ReplyDeleteThat is the only one you cannot name? Good for you... I can only name those that are very common and they are not too many.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Icy, these are one of my favorite summer flowers. I have a variety of them in my yard and they are very drought resistant and love the sun.
