The Odd Moment

Soon after the incident passed, he started class, and introduced himself as R., an Elementary Principal by day, and a part-time professor by night.

He then took attendance but when he got to my last name, (my husband's of long ago and back then), he started to tell the class how they've met. It couldn't be any weirder than this!

While I was totally head-over-hill taken by this man, he talked about (my husband-back then and long ago.) I felt like a cheat! The blood rushed onto my cheeks, and I thought I was caught in action.

"Everybody in the tri-county knows my husband! It's a small town!" I cut him off.

He darted a look at me, and my knees crumpled under the desk. He hypnotized me! Something about him bewitched me. This man had some kinds of magical power over my being. I would completely surrender if he should just say a word to me. The feeling was so strong, and very foreign to me.

It was not a gradual development! It was like a sudden wave washing over me. It was like a lightning strike!

He went on with the syllabus, what we had to do, attendance, group project, and the requirement observation hours for the semester. Since this was "Teaching for Elementary Teachers" class, most of our time would be in the classroom at the school of our choice.

He pranced back and forth by my seat, and boy, he smelled so good! That sense of smell knocked me in a trance of no mercy. It paralyzed my thinking process. It put me in a dream of fantasy.

Something was happening inside but I had no way to stop it...
