Musing With a Purpose-Poetry Book

I finally have time to go back to CreateSpace to make the final adjustment for my book of poetry! I redesign the cover, upload new photo, and pick out new fonts to be more like me. Many of you have known me as Icy, but I use my real name for the book, and many have never seen a picture of me, unless you're on Facebook. So now you have!

If it wasn't for Carmen at Carmen's Chronicles, who asked about my poetry book, and offered help, I would just let it sits until time is more in abundant. Which is when? I don't know! There are always things to do. Life doesn't stop, so I must catch on.

My daughter came home last night, and asked to switch cars with her since she needed to move her things home from the dorm. She left for a while and returned home again. She got sick!

Between making her some chicken rice soup, picking up JoJo from his overnight at a friend, brought his friend back to our house, to making these boys lunch and dinner, I manage to figure out what CreateSpace wanted from me.

Yes, it wasn't that hard to do; it was just time consuming! I know now what they are looking for! I have just ordered a proof of my book. Will have to wait before the final decision is made for publication!

So thank you Carmen, and thank you to the internet for making self-publishing possible for us all to get closer to our dreams.

I am so happy for your Icy and it looks awesome. Can't wait to get a copy. Let me know when it's up on Amazon. This is so exciting.

BC, this is so exciting and the book looks just beautiful. I will have to go to createspace once I leave here so I can get it. I don't think we will become millionaires from our books but it does give one a real sense of accomplishment to complete a task such as this, doesn't it? At least you are younger than 65!!! I, at least, had Jo devote a whole day to help me get mine out, you did it all on your own - that was realy self publishing. Congratulations, my friend, and may yours make it to the NY Times Best Sellers List and Oprah's Book Club.

Good luck with your poetry book. I entered my novel manuscript in a book competition and made the first cut--I will find out next week. I have also been trying to line up some literary agents.

I've looked into CreatSpace, but I thought I would go this route for now.

Best wishes again
