Time to Check Your Insurance Policy
Three members of my family live in Houston area, and as we all know this is the time when the weather can turn badly. It can be very devastating, scary, and unexpected. My sister experienced a disaster about two years ago, when part of the roof of her home blew away, and rain poured in.
Luckily, she had insurance, which covered all the damages. The process of claiming, getting an adjustment, and finding repair men took a while, but it was finally done. Without insurance, she would have been in lots of troubles.
It doesn't matter where we live really, if you live in Texas you will need home insurance in Texas, and if you live in New York, you will need New York home insurance. In most states, if you buy a home, you will need to also take out a policy of home insurance anyway! We all need to have peace of mind.
If you own a business, make sure you check out LocalInsurance business insurance rate. As I understand, it is advised for us to get new insurance rate every six months. We might save some money, we might need to modify our policy, and we might understand better what is covered or what is not in case of emergency.

This is actually some great advice. When I bought my home several years ago, I had purchased and "extra" policy, thinking it would cover certain things. To make a long story short, I found out quickly that it not only DIDN'T cover what had happened to my home that year, but many OTHER things it didn't cover either. In fact, I felt like I spent money on something that would never benefit me at all. READ THE FINE PRINT!!
Great post. :)
Insurance is a must. Thanks for info. My security string is "cuddly"!? Maybe for the cat?
Excellent advise Icy, I talked to our agent just last month about updating our policy.
