Taking Small Steps
JoJo wants to turn his big brother's room into his own living space, and the list of what he wants is long! We have been working on it slowly, and currently looking at twin beds for him. He wants to have plenty of space in the room to accompany a desk for study.
He really likes the beds in the above picture, and I think it would fit perfectly into the room also. This will allow space for other furniture, and provides a place for sleep over with a friend or two.
Early in May, I also picked up a TV stand from a garage sale for $10 dollars. It has two dividers for JoJo to organize his game console and magazines. So far, I have managed to collect what needed for a pre-teen boy's room.

All I have left to do is painted the room in dark blue color, and find a suitable bed for JoJo. He is anxious to help with the painting, and has his own bedroom without his brother's stuffs in it.
I'm waiting for a better weather to get started with the paint. Since we are having rain, cold, and wind every other day, I can't open the window to let the fume out. I definitely don't want to breathe the smell of paint for days to follow.

I remember the days of fixing up a pre-teens room. My youngest will be 18 next year. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the finished product! I hope your weather clears up soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Ah, he is growing up so fast. I like the look of that bunk bed. It's stylish, space saving and can accommodate friends if they want to stay over. I think it's cool to that he wants to help with the painting. Sounds like a fun project.
ReplyDeleteCool, that will be a fun project and looking good so far.
ReplyDeleteThat bed is nice. I wish me and my sister had twin beds like that. I hope you have a lot of fun with your project.
ReplyDeleteYou can send some of your cold weather to NJ because it is like an oven here. I don't want the rain or wind, but I'll take the cold. :)
It is always fun to decorate a room. I really like the looks of that bunk bed, I would love to have found that one when I did my step daughter's room years ago.
ReplyDeleteI love that bed. It is so much nicer than the bunk beds my sister and I slept on. lol
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the project. Those times mean a lot today and in years to come.
