Orange Lily

This is the orange lily in my front yard. The deep orange is very vibrant and lively to see early in the morning. I am an early riser so I get to enjoy a very few quiet moments before the world wakes up around me.

This lily came back every year, thus I didn't have to worry about my black thumb! I tried to plant a variety of flowers in my front yard garden, but nothing came up! This lily was here before I moved in. I'm not kidding you; I have serious black thumb!

Depending on the light of day, this lily sometimes has red tone in it. I just love the deep orange color of it.

Enjoy other entries at Today Flowers, and Mosaic Monday!

  13. They must be the same lilies that grow in the front yard at my house, they keep coming back every year and the group is slowing getting bigger. They are grow in the shade of a large maple so I do not mind, color in the shade. Wonderful mosaic.

  16. Your collage is lovely and I like how you put it together. Love the orange. My Lilies are a little sad this week due to the heat index here in SC but I am sure when it gets a bit cooler they will perk up a bit. They seem to just be drinking up water like crazy when the sprinkler is on.

  17. Very pretty. I love perennials... they just keep popping up and I don't have to do anything about it. I'm a terrible gardener, so that helps me immensely! :)
