My Friday Musing

I have planned a post for Thursday, but time didn't allow that to happen. I didn't even have a chance to sit down at my computer yesterday. Here are a few of my favorite things.

Let the World Cup Roars

Soccer has gotten to be one of my favorite things in this world. Not only my three kids all play this sport, it's just also beautiful to watch the foot work, and the precision passing/kicking. At the moment, JoJo is on two teams, and he loves every minute of it. He also has try-out this weekend for a new team around home.

I'm going to catch all World Cup matches, if I can! Go, USA, go!

The Internet

There are so many reasons to like the internet. One is the connection of relationship! I've met many wonderful bloggers, made new friends, and keep in touch with love ones. Although I don't spend lots of time on Facebook or Twitter, I still receive updates from family and friends in my email.

Finding Joy in Ordinary Things

This is just an ordinary white clover in my yard, but with the aid of macro, I found its beauty. This is one of the best blessings in life that I enjoy discovering.

School Will Be Out Soon

We have a few more days of school left, and will be on summer break. I have to line up things to do, projects to make, and places to go to keep the kids busy over the next couples of months. Library and parks are on the list already.

Friday Confessional

Despite the fact that I want to keep things dandy, and cheerful, I am somewhat going through a down time with my spirit. There are lots of things that I don't understand why I feel the way I feel, but a recent bad news about someone I knew in my past is eating at me! I feel like balling-up in my bed and not getting out for a while.

Have a good weekend!

  1. I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling blue. I have been a little down myself so I understand a bit how you feel. I just said a little prayer for you for peace and joy to return to your spirit.

That picture of the clover is amazing. I'm glad that you are still able to find the beauty in the little things - and especially that you shared it with me!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Icy, it is difficult sometimes but whenever you feel this way just think of JoJo and all of the people and things in your life that make you happy. You will feel much better.

Soccer is fun to watch and I'm glad he enjoys it so much. Those flowers - indescribably gorgeous. Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. It must be contagious -- feeling blue -- been bogged down helping someone get well for the last couple of weeks -- my post was suppose to be for Thursday too -- oh well - we are doing good to get his far.

You see the beauty in the small details of life -- which is so important sometimes the bigger picture can over whelm us -- my sons are grown now but remember those days fondly - gone oh so quickly.

    glad you are back blogging....

  4. Icy, life is like that, but it does seem that you have had more low moments than your share. I pray for you that the roller coaster starts heading up so you can see life from a different perspective. Just don't get scared on the way up.. :-)

    Love, sis

  5. Stopping by way of Glamazon.

I love soccer for all the same reasons. I too have three kids who play. My 9 year old just got done with try-outs last week. As much as I love it, I am glad to be taking a lil break from it too.

I hate when something/one from my past has a way of catching up with me and causing me to loose control of the present.

  6. I know what you mean about feeling down. I do hope it gets better soon. On the upside, as you said, there is so much to be done in the summer months. Congrats on the soccer success and I'll be watching some of the world cup matches too. I watched a bit of last night's while serving dinner to my kids on trays in front of the TV. We've got furniture and boxes all over the dining room after the move.

  7. Soccer is a fun game, I played it in college. I'm going to try to catch some of the World Cup.

Sorry to hear you have had some bad news, the past does have a way of coming back into our lives.
