Fragment Thoughts
Dear Life,
If there was a busy week, this last week was it! Everything seemed to jam into this week, and started to spin. I ran out of energy, inspiration, and the rush to blog. I didn't have time to even take any picture at all.
Dear Emotions,
A part of me feel so empty already as I'm emotionally prepared with the thought that my niece is leaving for South Korea to teach English this coming Monday. I'm excited for her! I'm afraid for her! I'm missing her already! I'm a mess!
All I know is that she got a lemon, and she is making lemonade out of it, so I'm sharing the drink with her.
Dear Niece,
It's not going to be the same without you around here when you are on the other side of the earth. Yes, a year is short, but it is also long. All I want for you is to be happy, safe, healthy, and blessings.
Who would have thought after getting your College degree that this is the path you must follow? It is life's mystery, and I wish you all the best!
Dear Weekend,
Don't rain or get cold on me since the little boy will have three soccer games. It is too miserable for everyone involves! I need some sun to re-energize my spirit, and I need some warm to fill the hole in my heart as my niece is going to fly across the ocean. Ok, I'm all choking on tears now, and have to go...

My cousin is leaving to teach English in SK, too! He leaves in early June. He just finished his degree at Middlebury. I'm a little taken aback at this choice, myself, but hearing that your niece is doing the same is a bit more reassuring to me. What a small world!
ReplyDeleteI hope that your niece gets to South Korea safely. I think that is great that she is teaching the students English. She will probably have great stories to share about what it's like to be in a different country.
ReplyDeleteIt's always tough letting someone fulfill their path when it is so far away from you. A year seems like decades but it will pass quickly and you can still keep in touch online. I will do a sundance for the weekend to keep the rain away for you :D
ReplyDeleteOh, darling. So sorry to hear about this. My prayers are with you, love. Don't worry about her, she'll be all right. She'll have fun and a great experience.
ReplyDeleteMay sunlight fill your week-end.
It'll be an exciting journey and a great experience for her. God is on her side and will proctect her. Try to have a nice weekend and hope for the best.
ReplyDeletewow! hope you're not talking about T! if so, you wouldn't be the only one a mess! sounds like you need a massage. work out all the bad stuff. hang in there.
ReplyDeleteI got you linked up. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAwww ... my son has gone on several short term mission trips (and I know a longer one will come soon) and every time I feel that crazy mixture of love and pride and worry. Hugs hun!
ReplyDeleteSKYPE!! You'll see her often that way :) Still, tough to hug over Skype.
ReplyDeleteYikes...spring sports in the rain--stay dry!! :)
(Sorry about the screwed up linky today!! I linked you up after it stopped acting stupid!) Thanks for your patience...
That is so scary but what a life changing experience! We have a few games this weekend too..hope it warms up a little!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday and a Blessed Mother's Day!
Oh, Icy, what a mixture of emotions you must be going through. Thankfully God's hands reach where ours do not.
ReplyDeleteIt was cold and yukky. The sky was beautiful to watch though as it went from rainy to sunny and back again on Saturday. Take care & God bless!
Hugs!
