Warning For Paid Ad Reviews Bloggers
As many of you know that I sometimes pick up ad review assignments to write. This is one of my ways to generate some money to pay for the cost of living. Through trials and errors, I thought I've found which companies are best to write for.
However, the new year 2010 hasn't been working out smoothly, and I'm frustrated by cheating companies. Rest assure that I'm not the only blogger that have this happened to. There are other bloggers out there that facing this dilemma, but we all have no other alternatives to deal with this problem.

So far, I have written for three websites, and no matter what I do, they won't approve the posts after two or more weeks sitting on my websites and getting exposure. I've emailed my employer time after time, but they went on deaf ears, and no one bothered to answer my emails.
As blogger you know how hard we all have to work to keep our sites going. Endless hours go into building traffic, earn a page rank, and move up on Alexa. After all of these work, we take on writing paid ad review, and hope to get compensation for our labor, only to find out after two or three weeks of exposure, the companies decided not to pay us for all the bogus reasons that they could conjure up.
It is not right, and it is not fair. It simply is bad business, but our employer couldn't provide a way to protect their employees from these obvious scams, nor would they offer a reasonable explanation.
So for all the bloggers out there who are writing ad reviews, beware of these companies below that proved to be scammers so far.

Thanks for the heads up, Icy. I'm looking for somewhere that pays well and that is actually honest and straightforward. Both together seem very hard to lay my hands on. When I find it, I will let you know.
ReplyDeleteIcy, I am so sorry. I will steer clear of them. That is dishonest. They will reap what they sow. I'm just upset that they did you wrong.
ReplyDeleteInteresting post. I do not currently do this, but yeah, it is unfair. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the warning. That does sound unfair.
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry to hear about your problems with these companies Icy. It is a shame that there are so many scammers out there taking advantage of people.
ReplyDeleteIcy, that is terrible that these companies can get away with this. Thank you though for letting us all know and alerting us to the problem. I'm sorry you are going through this.
ReplyDeleteGood info.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me supremely nervous. I use several sites, although I have never written about any of these topics. I'm lucky, in that I've never ran into this issue. If you need advice on other companies, I use these which I think are the best.

I have never had an issue with them, so I'm hoping one of these is not in your list for no pay.
The companies / employers say that it is not them, but the advertisers. I believe there is an online BBB, where we can get help, if necessary, but it's ridiculous that we have to go to that extreme. Still thinking.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear these scammers are getting away with it :-( I try to avoid anything like this and just monetise my blogs with Google and Amazon.
