A Touch of Color on Mini Mums
Snow has all melted, and the daffodils, tulips and irises are starting to push through the dirt. I finally got the old leaves picked up in part of our back yard where these flowers are growing just to make sure they will get enough sun.

This was a miniature chrysanthemum that I saw in the supermarket. The color was so subtle that it might be light pink or light lavender, depending on the light available.

I like how the color changes in different angle too. In the picture above, the mums looked a bit in the peachy color. This particular supermarket carried many different types of miniature flowers.

Do you know that I still believe I have black thumb even though I could grow zinnia from seeds? That is because I couldn't grow mums, gerbera daisy, and a few other flowers no matter how hard I tried.
Maybe it means I should just admire these flowers, but not growing them.

Icy, these are stunning. I pruned my rose bush today and saw many of my flowers poking heads up through the soil. I'm as excited as a kid before Christmas. :-)
ReplyDeletelove this! i especially like the subtlety of the pink hues on the mini chrysanthemums. as a result, they look so dainty!
ReplyDeleteThe pastel color is so soft and delicate, they are like nature's pillows with soft and light petals. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful flowers! I really like looking at flowers even though I couldn't begin to tell you what most of them are. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLady, I just bought some Zinnia seeds while with mother the other day. Help, any tips? Your photography is the green thumb my dearest. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the way the light changes the color of the petals, the pastels are gorgeous. Great macros.
