Something Pretty
Although they are not exactly flowers, I thought of them as flowers because they carried such beautiful images about them.
If this plant was a bit more affordable, and I live in the right climate, I would have brought it home. So I took some pictures to reserve the memory.

I thought I know its name, but as I'm typing this post, it escaped my mind completely. I don't even remember where I took these photos either. My mind at the moment is concentrated on the task at hands, and that is to get outside, and shovel us out from the snow storm yesterday.

I like how the leaves started out with such beautiful and vibrant colors. I love looking at different and unique plants like this one.

I should have taking some pictures of the snow we had here to show you, but nah, I won't do that. It seems to me that everyone is waiting, longing, and so ready for spring, including me. So showing you beautiful plant photos is a better way to go.
I'm going outside now to attack that mountain of snow, before the postman attaches another warning notice about unsafe sidewalk. Brrrr...

I agree! They are very special and beautiful, don't need to be a flower.
ReplyDeleteIcy, I love these too! They start out with green and then get so pretty and colorful. I wonder what they are. If it were not so late I might glance through a few books to see if I could find them, but then who knows? There are so many varieties. We are blessed.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the snow. Shoveling is not my favorite activity either. :-)
I agree too, with all the colors in this plant it really doesn't need a flower. It is gorgeous. I think it is in the Bromeliad family.
ReplyDeleteLooks like pineapple leaves.
ReplyDeleteThese are really beautiful. I really like the color.
