Kalanchoe
The flower below is called kalanchoe, and it is an ornamental houseplant. Some are shrubs or perennial plants, and some are annual or biennial.
The kalanchoe plants come in many different colors such as white, orange, purple, red, and of course pink. The flowers last for months. They are a popular indoor plant, and generally grow from 2 to 4 inches tall with 2 to 4 inches in diameter.

Kalanchoe doesn't require too much sun or too much water, thus it is an easy indoor plant to care for. You only need to water once a week, and the greatest benefit is the bloom will last for a long time if it has great drainage.

At this time of the year, I saw these flowers at many local supermarkets. They are so cheerful with their beautiful colors, and inexpensive too. These kalanchoe plants are perfect for my house and my forgetfulness to water.

I picked up this pot of flowers for less than five dollars, but I enjoy looking at the blooms every day. The petals and the green foliage are very sturdy. I love flowers that last!

Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteI so love this kolanche plant. I have had several over the years. I can't seem to keep them happy in the house. They do however like my garden area. Living in the desert we can grown a lot of things outdoors that don't seem to do good in the house for some reason.
Thank you for sharing. Please stop by and let me share my pink post with you.
