Snow Flakes On My Window
We had snow this past week, and the weather was unbearable some times. This doesn't mean that I don't go outside to look for photo opts. I do. Some days, I am lucky to have some shots at something that strike me, but some days, I don't.
I was lucky on one morning when I saw the reflection on my car window. It was just stunning, but I think I failed in capturing it. I wanted the snowflakes to be in focus to show the beautiful shapes they've formed. However, it didn't turn out the way I wanted.

This was what I see on my car window one morning. The sun was up with a bit of color, and the snow was still gluing to the glass. The beautiful snowflakes were what prompted me to take some pictures. They were gorgeous!

In this picture above, you can see a bit of the snowflakes, and their natural designs! They acted as a curtain for the reflections of the sun, the sky, and the tree. Although my car is parked at the same spot every day, I don't get to see this same scene again, even when the tree is still there.

The reflections are beautiful and I can see the shapes of the snowflakes too. Cool post!
ReplyDeleteWe can experience nothing remotely like this in Australia and maybe you might consider that a good thing! Thank you for your perseverance. The results are truly beautiful as are snowflakes, themselves.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are spectacular, this was indeed nature's one time offer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteNice photos. If your camera allows, you might try manual focus next time. Autofocus is great most of the time but sometimes you disagree with the camera and it's nice to have some control.
ReplyDeleteI have gotten shots like that, too, where what I am looking at in the foreground is blurry because the camera is focused on the background. Someday I will figure out how to make it do what I want!
ReplyDeleteNice shots, and the snowflakes' shapes can be seen anyhow!
Very unique shots! Beautifully captured!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, the effect is stunning. I like the focus just where it is, if you had focused on the snowflakes it would have blurred the background and the effect would not have been the same.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's new to my sight, haven't seen snowflakes that close. Thanks for sharing Icy.

ReplyDeleteSimply Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the idea of the "snowflake" filter, great creative shots. Kathy
ReplyDeleteThese are magical, like Christmas cards. Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteIcy, usually when I see the beautiful crystals formed on my car windows is when I have but a few minutes to get to work and I kick myself for not going outside sooner. Nice capture.
