A Touch of Chill
We had a touch of snow these last two days, but not enough for it to linger. However, in the early morning I still could find a trace of melted snow on the ground, and on some unfortunate things.
Last of the Clover

This was the last lavender clover trying to test the weather to the very end. As you can see, it finally had to give up and yield to bitter cold of December.
Snow Melted Into Water Drops

By the afternoon, the thin layer of snow melted into water droplets and they sparkled under the sunlight. There was nothing extraordinary about this branch of leaves, but from my perspective, the water droplets looked like tiny little diamonds.
Diamond Kisses

This was a dried and light brown branch of leaves, and when I used the sepia effect, it turned out much better than I have anticipated. The water droplets from melted snow were more defined, and showed up much better.
Icy on Leaves

At some part in the yard, I found some ice on these leaves. It almost looked like sugar! We have been blessed with a mild weather so far, but I know snow storm is on its way soon enough.

Beautiful! I love how your leaves look in sepia. The water drops are wonderful. Great control over shading and exposure!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful monochromes, Icy! I can see the bugs on the first picture! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteIcy, you are right. They are as pretty as diamonds. I like the icy leaves. They shimmer and shine better than any bling bling. :-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent series. You might try printing darker for a comparison. I think you'll like it. Better? Maybe, but a different interpretation.
