Snow Coneflowers
I took these pictures on the day that it was heavily snow, but how could I not when I saw the snow piled up on these old cone flower heads? The original color was very close to black and white due to the weather condition. However, I just wanted to make sure and added gray scale effect to these photos.

The snow sat on top of these cone flowers just so perfectly. Though I couldn't capture the falling snow, believe me, it was there. I tried to take the pictures as fast as I can since I was worried about my camera getting wet.

When I saw these dead cone flowers filled with snow on top, they just looked fantastic! This is really Mother Nature's beautiful art work, and must recorded them in film. Well, on flash card anyway!

This was the original color of these cone flowers. The camera didn't lie about the weather condition on that heavy snow day! It was just gray and white! If I didn't go outside to shovel, I would have missed this wonderful display.

They look like snow flowers :-) I love your latest header too. It's always a pleasant surprise to log in and see your new look.
ReplyDeleteThese look so cool! I've never seen coneflowers with snow piled on top. Interesting to see the original coloring also which looks naturally monochromatic to me.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful. I especially love the last shot the most. You really captured the nature side of it all very well. :)
ReplyDeleteIcy, it has been so dull lately without our beautiful flowers or fall colored leaves. I miss the color and cannot wait to welcome it back. Your poor little wilted flowers stand proudly though, don't they? They look as if they are holding dollops of ice cream. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and
Love, your honorary sis
You've a good eye. I like the simpler and closer composition of the original.
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots, Icy.
ReplyDeleteThey look like chocolate covered strawberries. Am I crazy? lol
ReplyDeleteThey look so cute, Icy! Looks as if thye are wearing white-colored Santa hat! Good composition. Their dark stems created a beautiful contrast against the white snowy ground. :)
ReplyDeletethese are beautiful shots, Icy. when it is snowing, indeed, the world becomes very beautiful black and white.
