FeedBurner Took My Blog for a Deep Dive
I found out today that my FeedBurner has stopped working four days ago on Wandering Thought, and for that I am sorry to all my subscribers. I went into my blogger account to make sure that the feed was correct, and went into FeedBurner to check also.

It turned out that there was a glitch in the system. If you have a FeedBurner account, you will be horrified to find that your subscribers have taken a deep dive. However, after reading the FeedBurner blog, I know for sure that it's just a temporary problem.
Just in case you haven't sign up for an account with FeedBurner yet, here is a post on How to Get a FeedBurner Account for Your Blog that you might find helpful. Another tip I want to share is to use the same email account as your Google Adsense and Google Analytics when you sign up with FeedBurner. It makes things less complicated.
As of this morning, my blog registered "no rank" on Alexa toolbar, my feed is not updated since last Friday, and my subscribers dropped from 140 to 80! Yike, what a plummet!
So if you are out there reading this, know that I haven't abandon my blog yet, and this situation is out of my control.

I hope everything will work out for your blog soon. This information will be helpful to people in similar situations.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's awful, Icy.
ReplyDeleteHope it's all fixed soon. I don't have a feedburner account. I think I set it up for my RS blog, but it was so complicated, I didn't bother doing it for the others. I have an rss feed, but I don't know how many subscribers I have.
I'm in a hurry now, but I will look at the article you linked later on. It will be a good one to link to on my BB blog.
Wow, really? I haven't even looked over there for a while. I'll have to check it out. I hope everything works out for you and thanks for letting us know. I'm checking mine now.
ReplyDeleteIcy, I wasn't even aware. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are having this problem, hope you get it straightened out soon.
