Trees in the Pond
I went to Belle Isle to hunt for reflections, since this theme is one of the most enjoyable things for me to do.
Reflections seem to be the first thing that pops in my head when I am looking at pictures nowadays. It is a challenge to find reflections if you are not by the water, or when the sky is so gray.
A Row of Trees

This was just one of the many ponds on the island, and my first stop for reflections. There was no wind on that day, so the water stayed very calm.
On the Ledge

This picture looked as if it was upside down. I intended to just take the edge of wall and the trees reflection in the water.
As Far As the Eyes Can See
If you look carefully, you can also see the white clouds in the water. I went to the island on an early morning, so everything looks very peaceful and serene.

ReplyDeleteAll three photos capture the spirit of this place but the first one does it best.
ReplyDeleteIt had not occurred to me how tricky it must be to get reflections when the sun is always obscured.
ReplyDeleteYou have managed remarkably well this week - the clarity of the reflection of those trees and the retaining was is just great.
