The Forgotten Building

If I am not mistaken, this building on Belle Isle used to be a casino back in the 1970. Although I didn't get to see it up close lately, the building looked beautiful on a nice sunny day.

I don't remember ever stepped inside this building because of my religious belief. Besides, when my father brought us to the island, we were just kids, and he only took us to either the Conservatory or the Aquarium.

Since this building was no longer in working order, I don't know what it is used for. However, seeing its gorgeous reflection in the water, I remembered hearing it as a casino before. Maybe in the summer, I can take a closer look and find out more about its history.

I love the arches around this building! Though abandon for many years, the building still retains its beauty from afar. I must admit I didn't pay attention to this building before, but after a trip to the island looking for photo opts, I find this intriguing.

What a great photo. I have always loved the ones by the water where one can see much reflection of the world above it...in it.

It looks quite colonial. It must be a very traditional building on the inside. I'd love to see some inside pics when you return.

Terrific image, Belle Isle has some fantastic reflections! Hard to imagine such a beautiful building not being used.

It would be a shame to allow a fine old building like this decay into ruin. I too like the arches. Your photos capture the spirit of the place nicely.

It is a delightful old building and the location appears just perfect in its peacefulness. It looks like the most beautiful abandoned building I have seen for a long while.

Have a happy holiday.

A pity for the building, hope something could be done. Perfect images with neat reflections.
