Scarecrows

My nephew can be a fearless Ninja, or soldier, or policeman, but when it comes to Halloween decorations in the store, he is terrified!

It took some time for me to convince him to pose in front of these scarecrows, and he stayed long enough for two pictures.

Blend In!

We must not make a scarecrow of the law,
Setting it up to fear the birds of prey,
And let it keep one shape till custom make it
Their perch, and not their terror
~William Shakespeare

Logical consequences are the scarecrows of fools and the beacons of wise men.
~Thomas Henry Huxley

A philosophy forced upon the convictions of the observer by the disheartening prevalence of the optimist with his scarecrow hope and his unsightly smile.
~Ambrose Bierce

That proves you are unusual, returned the Scarecrow; and I am convinced the only people worthy of consideration in this world are the unusual ones. For the common folks are like the leaves of a tree, and live and die unnoticed.
~ Lyman Frank Baum

Your nephew is so cute! When my kids were that age, they were afraid of clowns, mall Santa Clauses, and puppets at Chuck E. Cheese.

What a precious little boy! I'm proud of him standing there so still and tall with the scarecrows. What cute pictures.
Be a sweetie,

Your nephew is a cute little guy and he does have that look on his face that says 'can I go now?'
At least he stayed for the two shots - thanks for sharing.
