I have noticed among the gravel part in my back yard, there are different colors critters there! They took refuge by blending in with the rocks.

I know it sounds weird but with his coloring and texture he almost looks wooden. Very interesting and great photo Icy.
i agree with Jo, if we won't take a close look, it can almost pass as a carved wood. very interesting.
He's a cutie. I haven't run across one in that color before. In fact I haven't seen any crickets at all lately.
