Bunny Fever
Joey caught the bunny fever last weekend! He wanted to have a bunny for Easter, or any kind of furry animal. So we talked, and I agreed to let him have a bunny!
I'm temporary insane, I know! I've just accepted more work for myself, but how many mothers can say no to their child when it comes with plead for a fuzzy wuzzy? It's a trap! It's an emotional blackmail! And I fall for it every time...
The Boy and His Bunny
After my son spent the weekend with his dad, he came home with this bunny! He is about one month old, and has gray with a little mix of red fur. He seems very gentle, and calm so far.
Meet Albert
Yes, Joey named his bunny Albert, and Albert is checking out his environment! The bunny has been raised with little children, so he lay still when he is held!
If Albert's ears lie flat, I would have mistaken him for a squirrel. He looks quite round in this picture, and his fur shows the reddish color.
Hoping Away
Albert has a very short attention span, so he is hoping to another corner. I am sure this will be an interesting adventure for us.
On a Leash
We put him on a bunny leash to take him outside, but he doesn't like it very much. As soon as he gets outside, he shakes it loose.
I am not sure what we are getting ourselves into, but having a living creature around is kind of fun.

Bunnies are soft quiet animals. My sons had pet guinea pigs that were nice like rabbits and my daughter had ferrets that got into too much trouble. That is a sweet picture of Joey and Albert!
Michele,
It already makes big messes every day, but at least it's easy to clean :-(
Diane,
Thank you! I'm hoping to survive the "wanting pets phrase" with Joey soon..
Albert is lovely ... and I'll bet so-so-so very soft! Enjoy!
He is lovely. Enjoy him. He looks exactly like our Flopsy Hadlee who we kept in the house also. We secured the garden for him so he could enjoy the sun and a good old run. The number of times I found him on our bed, curled up with the cat.
Oh, and keep a cat litter tray. He will use it for his pee!
Walk in the Woods,
He is very soft, quiet, and very cuddly.
Monique,
That is awesome! I didn't know that bunny and cat can get along.
Great pics! Hope things work out...bunnies can be a good furbaby...at least Albert won't bark at your guest...grin...
Brenda,
Yeah...no barking or crying...
